Bucks trade has to mean Brook Lopez is not returning this season. There's not enough minutes for Giannis, Brook, Serge, and Portis.

I hope Serge is as washed as he has seemed this season.

Not really. He's washed. He helps a bit to make up for Lopez absence but not that much.

Disagreed. Between him and Bobby Portis (who's having a terrific year), the Bucks now have the capability of having a mobile stretch 5 for a full 48 minutes. It's a great move and it reminds me of the Raptors championship winning midseason trade 3 years ago in which they acquired Marc Gasol.

Why would they take our scraps for him? Wouldn't another team just outbid us? Based on what's been said so far, he's looking and playing for money. Dunno if that's a good fit.

We're giving up 2 picks in the suggested trade, Grant becomes a free agent only after next season - we'll have 2 championship runs with him before making a decision about his extension.

Ibakas last 3 games:

7-7
21-8
14-11

Still very solid for a backup C who can stretch the floor

I'd be down for it. If they would be willing to take our available picks and Duncan then that's a major win. I expect being outbid could be our lot though.

Also let's be real - Grant surrounded by the culture will fall in love with the Heat and will extend here if things work out.

We offer a great situation - a wining team without diva stars that hog all the shots.

Agreed - he's a very serviceable big. His responsibilities will be reduced in Milwaukee to only rebounding, defending and hitting the open shot, which will hide a lot of his weaknesses. Add in the fact that he'll now play for a legitimate championship contender and so he'll likely also be more motivated, and as a result of this he may perform above his market value over the next several months (i.e. the way Crowder performed for us in his short stint here).

He shot well but hasn't been good this year. And he's lost several steps defensively. It's a good move if Lopez ain't coming back. But he won't have the same level of impact as Brook Lopez did last season.

PJW isnt going to move the needle that much. We need a scorer to help our half court offense.

But you gotta pay him. Then you gotta pay Herro, Struss, Caleb & Gabe after next season. We saw with the big 3, the Arisons will pay some tax but not ridiculous amounts like what the Cavs did or what the Nets & Clips are doing.

OKC will groom KZ into a serviceable wingman and then flip him to a contender next season for 3 additional draft picks.

It's just how they role.

Trade him this summer or next for Mitchell with Herro and picks

Thad young was the best buyout option at the 4 right? That ship has sailed. Gotta get something done now

If Dragic goes to Bucks. The East is done. Ibaka was a nice little move to shore up the bench but then you add Dragic then that's a pretty stacked team. They would have too much depth for a team like the Heat without a true superstar to overcome

Bucks got Ibaka and Toronto added to that damn roster of athletic 6'9 and 6'8 big men to counter Bam. If we don't make a deal for a 4 were in big phucking trouble

Return to Miami Heat
