Also let's be real - Grant surrounded by the culture will fall in love with the Heat and will extend here if things work out.

We offer a great situation - a wining team without diva stars that hog all the shots.

But you gotta pay him. Then you gotta pay Herro, Struss, Caleb & Gabe after next season. We saw with the big 3, the Arisons will pay some tax but not ridiculous amounts like what the Cavs did or what the Nets & Clips are doing.

And you add a Lowry to it to make the numbers work. You want the option to pivot in case lets say we get swept or easily beaten by Bucks or Nets in round 2. I think that's why the Heat did that deal to open up another 1st. If this core doesn't work, Lowry and Butler ain't getting older. The next move would be to upgrade Lowry to a legit star

They were able to purge 2 injured bench players in bol bol and Dozier while only giving up a 2nd rounder. Why couldn’t Miami do that with KZ instead of amending our 1st which could be viewed as a high risk move
