Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 21-22 Vol. 2 - Can we get to first place?

Heat at all costs need to keep their 1sts. If playoffs is a disappointment. Those picks + Herro + Yurt could come in handy in going after a Dame or a Beal in the offseason.

Dame and Beal are max contract players. We'd have to give up a lot of salary

And you add a Lowry to it to make the numbers work. You want the option to pivot in case lets say we get swept or easily beaten by Bucks or Nets in round 2. I think that's why the Heat did that deal to open up another 1st. If this core doesn't work, Lowry and Butler ain't getting older. The next move would be to upgrade Lowry to a legit star

But would that even be enough to get Dame or Beal? The key would be Herro here but he is also up for an extension very soon.

Hoping Dragic joins Luka and stays the **** away from East contenders

I think Grant is VERY available for out package with picks, Pistons fans seem to agree.

He's leaving the Pistons and we offer some nice future assets - it's an ideal match between a win now team and a build for later team.

I'd like to have him. I just don't see our package being enough. A 24ppg 3 level scorer and defender? For some late picks? How?

I think Pistons can use both Omer as a upside big with real talent and also benefit from the spacing Duncan provides - young stars like Cade/your next pick will need room to work in the offense

Dragic is coming home. No way he is going anywhere else. He is pretty much done and is just going to be an insurance behind Kyle and Gabe. It's a feel good story with the added benefit of insurance backup. Miami going to find out front court insurance for PJ on the buyout market.

There is no buyout market for 4s, now that Thad is off the table

All players want a big extension - we'll have 2 championship runs with him before we need to make a decisions.

For this year and next, he's making 5 Mil more then Duncan - but can help A LOT more in the the next 2 playoffs

Uhhh to win. Having Grant for this playoff run and next season keeps us as top contenders for this window. Then we make a decision from there as we start shifting to future
