LoL it's 9-5 now. Braun hit a solo shot. Meaningless stat padding homers.

not too meaningless at this time of year...I do not like it...this game is getting too close for comfort...I liked 9-2 better.

How psyched are we that the Padres piled it on in the top half of the inning?

4 runs lead, 6 outs left.

Padres have a great set up man and an unbelievable closer by the name of Trevor Hoffman. I am not scared.

Braun is an incredible player...if Milwaukee ever gets pitching they are going to be hard to compete with for the next few years...at least until the rich teams sign away all of their young talent $$$ heheh

If the Brewers do not make the playoffs, all the blame will have to go towards themselves. They had so many chances to gain ground on the stupid Cubs, but they failed to take advantage of these situations; hence, the time during the Soriano injury where we started off 2-8, and the Brewers were just as bad.

At least the Brewer fans can't use Yost as a scapegoat for this one because he wasn't even managing.

Padres 3 outs away from a win and the Brewers 3 outs away from watching the Cubs magic number slip down to 2.

Return to Chicago Cubs
