If we can figure Ben Simmons situation right, this can be a win going forward. Morey clearly didn't want him from day one. He ain't no James Harden, being younger and cheaper definitely working our way.

Just hope this kid ready for what is going to come his way. Kyrie factor definitely has me worried.

They had to because of Irving. The Nets have bent over backwards to appease him and now they have made 2 massive trades because of him. If he was a better playmaker and not injury prone, the Nets don't do the Harden trade.

I'm sure his mental health is fine. You can't fake an actual physical injury without risking not getting paid...easier to pull the mental health card.

Most if not all of the swaps won't convey so it wasn't really 7 firsts...

Marks did nothing else. What a disaster.

What is this team now for the time being?

Curry, Mills, Edwards, James Johnson, Aldridge?

We will not win a single game!

And Nash just remains blameless.

Simmons aside , having not extending Harden 4/223 is already huge win , is it help our championship chances ? Probably not, depends on if Simmons play at all , long term we had to do it , Smart GM

With a good coach, he would spend time there... with a guy like simmons your best value is playing him all over. Take advantage of what your opponent has on the floor.

No they Traded Allen, Levert and 3 picks (1 already didnt convey) , and 3 swaps

for

Simmons, Curry, Drummond, and 2 first round picks

You omit important details. your post has us with no picks for 6 years, when in reality, we now have 5 picks in six years (the 2 philly picks plus our pick or houstons for 3 years)

People may hate this trade now...

in 1.5 years, my guess is we all love it and are breathing a sigh of relief (i feel that way now). A 35 year old Harden making 55 million is... not going to look good,

Harden is also still an FA at years end. he cant be extended now. would be low-key hillarious if he and joel butted heads and harden bounced.

Haven't read the rules in a while but I believe they're good for a year... So if Seth was absorbed into the Dinwiddie exception then we'd get a new trade exception off approx. 10-11 million good for another year...

to the bold, while I understand the principle of the comment, it's Simmons, Curry plus two firsts(i guess Drummond too). So if you want cancel out the first, then its 5 firsts plus Levert and Allen for Simmons and Curry... which still doesn't make it that much better LOL

its still not 5 firsts... 5 firsts assumes we lose a pick. 3 of those are swaps, where we either dont lose the pick or get houstons. even if we are worse then houston its unlikely the difference between our pick and theirs is very big. they wont be a top 8 team anytime soon and now with simmons we wont be a bottom 8 anytime soon.

We have 5 picks in the next 6 drafts no matter how the swaps go.

Sean and Nash better have Ben locked in a room with Kyle Korver until he debuts.

I think Simmons will be just fine and will be a pleasant surprise surrounded by Amare, KD, Kyrie and the rest of the staff.

Keeping Patty was huge.

Our shooting: Mills, Curry, KD, Edwards, Harris.

Defense: Simmons, Bembry, Brown.

Rebounding: Drummond, Claxton, Sharpe.

BCB crew: Johnson, Griffin.

Javon Carter will be gone.

Harden opted in... so he's on contract for next season already.

Not getting Thybulle is such a massive failure. I am still in shock.

We had ALL THE LEVERAGE. Simmons was not going to play!!!!

Like how do you not get him!

And if do take multiple firsts you need to flip them into assets. Our window is this year!

Now we have two first round picks which won't even help us.

This is such a failure from up and down. Marks is a fool. And KD is a **** GM.
