I'm fed up with Cuban, I'll still support the Mavs cause theyre my team. But I'm off the forums and not watching unless its a 6ers-Nets playoff series. Bertans and Dinwiddie, gtfo

I don't know that I'd worry? Brunson still clearly has a spot available to start, as I think Dinwiddie comes off the bench there. But if they start Dinwiddie and bring Brunson off the bench? Good lord.

They waived Moses Brown to complete it, too. :dontknow:

So now Dallas has 3 of the worst contracts in the NBA: Bertans, Dinwiddie, and THJ. Probably overpay one of DFS or Brunson if not both. Mark Cuban, smartest guy in the room

There's nothing that justifies this mess of a trade, nothing, KP for 40 games a season is worlds better than Dinwiddie and Bertans, this is beyond aweful, the team has no centers, we're waiting for KP to comeback to help, and they trade him for a guy who can't do anything but shoot, and low-IQ, no shot PG, Nico Harrison should go back to selling shoes.

Worst part is Mavs actually added Bertans last year's salary - it is not fully guaranteed, but still, in that case it is 10 milions in dead money.... I mean, if they were so bend on moving Porzingis, why not a deal around Dragic and pick(s).... even if it was just Dragic and Boucher straight up, it is miles better than this mess.
I'd think Wizards would give up some incentive to swap Dinwiddie for Porzingis, instead they managed to dump Bertans... wild

Yeah this is one of the most wild trades I've ever seen. Like this and Westbrook. What does Tommy do to these guys on the phone....

Hahaha, that's true!

Lebron for Luka, straight up. No? What's that you say? I'm crazy?

Here's a link to a trade that shows you I'm not.

Luka has the worst supporting cast in the entire NBA and the Mavs have little path to improve over the next few years either. Yikes.

The Knicks season just got better lol. I assume the Mavs are trying to break the Porzingis money into smaller parts to try and get off Dinwiddie at some point so they have more 2023 flexibility to re-tool in free agency around Doncic. Problem is Dinwiddie sucks and Bertrans is arguably worst contract in the league.

As a Wiz fan who loves this trade for us... Ill give you a very small sliver of hope:
Dinwiddie: He had moments where he was scoring efficiently and had elite AST:TOV ratio...and others where he looked old and disinterested. He is a quirky guy with a lot of pride, so I could see him not trying once he saw that the chemistry was poor with Beal. He could very well turn it around

Bertans: This may suprise some people, but Bertans is NOT cooked. He only does one thing well and he isnt doing it this year so he is glued to the bench.
However, he is in shape and looked very active/mobile when he played. Would not shock me in the slightest if he has a resurgence in Dallas. Guy is a possession MONSTER. He'll use up 5 possessions, commit zero turnovers, and give you 9-10 points in a matter of minutes. It's no coincidence that his +/- was elite two years ago. Not only can he be an elite shooter, but the quickness of his release and shot distance pulls defenses away from the basket and opens everything up.

This seems irrelevant to this thread and kinda just an attempt to troll Mavs fans. Whom if you haven't noticed had kind of a bad day.

So let's not. It's not as funny as you think, but I'm 100% sure this plays well over on the Knicks board where you can sip champagne at just how well things are going for the Knicks today as well.....

Dinwiddie will improve once he gets farther than ACL tear. But deal still seems questionable.

I've always thought Porzingis is overrated and still do, but... it still seems inexplicable that Dallas would do this trade. Still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Not to mention, Dinwiddie's an awful fit for Dallas - he's a disaster playing off the ball. Bertans is a legit great shooter, but he's been rushing everything for 2 years now - It's to the point that he's a disaster who simply cannot defend NBA athletes. It's been brutal watching both of them this season.

pre ACL Dinwiddie was not worth the contract he's on right now and he makes no sense whatsoever with Luka
