Usually I’m against any team just making a trade for the sake of making a trade but this team needed to make a trade just to make a trade..I think I speak for most Knicks fans, I truly hate this team..I don’t hate the Knicks..I’ve been through it all since 84 but this team this roster is unwatchable, boring, dull and stupid.

Given how little imagination/creativity we've seen in the deep end of the talent pool from Leon so far, I don't mind them standing pat. Not that this was a good job, but at least he didn't try the deep end and straight up drown. Because that was totally a worry I had.

Now we just have to make it through the rest of the season so that all these 2 year deals become expirings, which sucks because that means they're all going to still get burn to try and build their value beyond just the contract amount. And we have to hope that things deteriorate further between Thibs and Randle so that action will be taken on one or both.

It's definitely terrible, but to me it's not really hell because we still have youth, picks, and a cap that's not jammed up beyond correction. I remember hell from the Isiah years. It's more like purgatory. Just numbness and nothing while waiting an indefinite period for things to break one way or another.

Yeah I actually tend to agree. This team is basically dead men walking right now. Even if it's a lateral move, just try something to wake them up. Not even talking about a big splash or upgrade.

Yeah I mean it all depends on Simmons. I had a chat with KOT on our pre-deadline NBNF podcast and we were talking about this. Simmons was just a bad fit with Embiid. Not so much just the ball in hand needs but the fact that Embiid forces the team to play a certain way and doesn't allow Simmons to maximize his versatility as much. With the Nets the pressure is still going to be there but maybe with KD and Kyrie drawing the attention of the media (by their very nature) maybe it'll allow Simmons to fly under the radar more so that his thin skin doesn't have to be put to the test as much. Simmons definitely addresses their biggest need right now, is younger and they get those draft picks. Not what the Knicks fans probably want to hear but...yeah...son of a b...lol
