Woj: Nets to waive Bembry

What the absolute F*ck is this nonsense?

Bembry had played outstanding for us. I get he is a non-shooter and role guy but he played very good defense, got a ton of hustle points, and provided glue for this team... and was hitting his threes this year as well. Was an NJ kid, was doing awesome stuff in the community and did his job every day.

And we cut him to clear a roster spot?

We have like 6 centers but we cut Bembry? Not Carter? Not Brown? Note Duke jr.?

I get bembry was minimum salary and maybe non-guaranteed so maybe its less dead money but to me this is just a BAD move. its nothing in the scheme of what we did with a major trade but we cant be making moves like this to guys who help us win. there is no way he wouldnt be more valuable to us this year/in the playoffs then Brown, Duke jr, Carter, etc...

I think they're hoping he gets claimed. He has a better chance of being claimed than Brown or Johnson. It would save remaining salary and tax.

WTF cares... so we cut brown he goes unclaimed and we have to pay 4M in dead money next year. We are a tax team, so it doesnt effect us cap room wise. This is basically to save tsai money (when he is already saving on the simmons swap).

Im livid.

This is a stupid decision.

Could’ve simply moved Javon Carter or Bruce Brown.

WTF? Out of all the non shooters, Bembry got cut? Understandable tho with Ben Simmons in the lineup.

This is absolutely disgusting.

I have nothing against Bruce, I like the guy a lot, but Bembry is so much better than him, Carter, and Johnson. This is sickening.

I know we'll never get one but I'd really like to hear an explanation as to why Bembry was the one who we waived.

WTF moment for me , it’s all Nash , he didn’t played Bembry enough ,even in games when he was solid
He favors players ( James Johnson) and put others in a dog house (Bembry , BB ) it’s another weakness of nash on top of being clueless HC

htf do you justify this? We now have this bullsh** center logjam, yeah there was some redundancy of defensive wings (HTF DID WE NOT GET THYBULLE), but Bembry has been a G.

Huge downside of Harden trade is that it gives more excuses for f….g Steve Trash , otherwise i like the trade and hate waiving Bembry

This is unfathomable. I'd rather cut Devon first. Damn!

This isn't Nash, they did this for financial reasons

Our priorities are our of wack, and every decision our from office makes makes me doubt them more.

This man should be on this roster. It's appalling that he was waived due to luxury tax implications.

Mind-boggling choice of player to waive among those outside of the starting five. But the writing may have been on the wall for Bembry, considering the limited PT he was getting from Nash despite the obvious value that he brings on the floor.

If other teams are paying attention, he should be picked up soon. Hope he lands on a better situation and gets a guaranteed contract.
