starting lineup of 3 people that can't shoot and a PF that only shoots from the corners. Run or die

Can’t believe we didn’t get a stretch big of some kind to relieve/replace PJ :banghead:

If yurt and Bam is going to happen then it better start tonight. Yurt needs to sub in for Tucker and Bam needs to play the entire 1st quarter like Jimmy usually does. Maybe swap his and Jimmys substitutions. We should always have 1 of if not 2 of Lowry/Jimmy/Bam in the game at all times.

* Aggressive Bam is an upgrade
* Dipo could be a solid addition, depending on how well he does upon return
* Keef could still return, giving us a backup PF
* If not, the buyout market could yield us a backup PF (still have 1 roster spot left)
* Duncan's 3pt shooting has improved steadily each month (February down, but TBD). With Bam scoring more, there's no pressure on him to hit 3s.

Unless there was a no-brainer move to be made, the Heat were in solid position and had no glaring weakness.

Many people felt we didn't even need to make a move.

Our size issue is not something with the roster, it's a coaching philosophy, and Spo deserves a chance to deliver and prove us wrong.

Now is the time to bring up Potter.

Potter
Yurt
Bam
Jimbo
Lowry

Just kidding.

Cavs would melt, though.

I agree with this for the most part and I think Dipo is going to be very good. I disagree on no glaring weakness though. We need a backup 4 and Duncan is a traffic cone defensively and a fouling machine. I would’ve loved to upgrade there. They buyout market will be **** imo

He'd just be another 6'5" PF without a 3pt shot. Pass.

I hope Herro sees us not bringing in another scorer/potential big 3 option (which Jerami would have most certainly been) as a vote of confidence in him from the FO, even though it likely wasn’t and Pat just wants to try for a whale down the line.

Time for him to have that mentality to step up and be that, especially come playoff time when the floor will shrink, and we’ll need him as another option besides Jimmy and Lowry to create and score in the half court. Names are made in the playoffs, and that’s how he got on people’s radar to begin with, going off in the Bubble. Now he’s gotta take the next step.

I think not bringing anyone in is a good sign with Dipo too. They must be really encouraged by what they’ve seen

Yeah, those are valid concerns.

I think the idea with Duncan is that the SL is good enough defensively to cover for him and his 3pt shooting will offset some of the points he gives up.

A few of the dumb fouls I see from Duncan is that he tries to defend a fast break 1-on-1 when he should be trying to draw a charge. Hopefully, the coaches go over this with him.

Lol I never thought Jerami was an option. Apparently he chose Detroit in free agency in large part because he wanted to play for a black coach and black GM. Besides that being kinda racist, it rules out the Heat and pretty much signals that winning isn't his ultimate priority

We’ll probably sign someone playing overseas right now.

Return to Miami Heat
