Yeah I always felt they should of traded Irving the moment he refused to vaccinated despite the mandate. How can Brooklyn seriously think that they can contend with this team? When ever Irving is out, who is going to be their second scoring threat, Curry?

Cleveland fans to Boston fans - "You guys are going to be sorry!!!" Boston fans - "Nah, we've got this. Dude just needed a change!"
Boston fans to Brooklyn fans - "You guys are going to be sorry!!!" Brooklyn fans - "Nah, we'ge got this, Dude really wants to be here!!"
Brooklyn fans to anybody - "Please somebody get this guy out of here!!!!!" Rest of league - "Nah, we're good dude!"

Yeah - you and everybody else on the GB are hoping that Kyrie saves you from your brutal takes about Morey .

Hey sunshine. In case you missed it, Ben Simmons and Rich Paul got exactly what they wanted. They played the team, the league and the game itself in a way so ridiculous that the next CBA is going to lockout the league.

You made the Nets the favourite tonight.
They lacked defense? You gave them Simmons. They lacked boards? You gave them Drummond.
And one more shooter to add to the mills/kyrie/Harris/KD shooting core. And two picks in case they need extra reinforcements.

But yet you want flowers. For paying Harden 50mil next year at the age of 34.
You have two years to contend. After that, bye Felicia.
But hey, congrats to Morey. Congrats to you.

Thanks! I am sure that Morey is thrilled as well (as is the entire Sixers fanbase).

Simmons will help the Nets. I certainly would not have picked the Nets as the team to trade him to. But if you would have asked this board two months ago whether the Sixers would get JAMES HARDEN for Simmons and some smaller assets (no Maxey or Thybulle), you would have been LAUGHED OFF OF THIS BOARD.

(and you know this)

I think that Harden has a TON to prove. Worked his way off of TWO teams in 15 months, and that look in Sacramento was horrific. I am being clear-eyed about what we are getting. But even on one good leg the guy is averaging 23/8/10, playing 37 minutes a game. It says here that he understands both Morey sticking out his you-know-what for him (again) as well as the pressure to regain his standing in the league after all of this - very much the same as Simmons. My take is both guys are going to want to prove the doubters wrong. We will see what happens. And here's the thing - he opted into 2022-23, and he is going to want to show the Sixers that he is worth the extension, so - for now at least - he will be on his best behavior, I would think.

Yeah Harden has opted in. Everyone seems to be suggesting that gives the sixers time to assess if they want him long-term. No one seems to mention that it give Harden time to assess the sixers long-term also.

Harden reportedly "looked at Kyrie like he had three heads" in the midst of Irving's ritual, a Native American practice "Irving has embraced to cleanse negative energy," Vardon wrote.

Kyrie sounds like a really strange dude.

Sources: Kyrie Irving burned sage in the practice facility to cleanse the team of James Harden's bad karma

If my understanding of what I have read is correct, we cannot offer extension until 6 months post-trade. That means that he would become a free agent in the offseason if he did not accept the option. I believe this would hard cap us although I could be wrong. I believe him accepting the option gives us more financial flexibility and allows us to extend him which is better.

Kyrie is a psycho 100%.

Harden might be controversial but Irving has mental issues.

Kyrie might be a strange dude but I 100% support his right to remain unvaccinated. His body his choice simple as that.

Kyrie was probably also eager to return back to a “no pressure to win” situation.

Lebron winning a ring with Kyrie as his sidekick is probably the single greatest accomplishment in sports history.

The mental toughness Lebron had to come back from down 3-1 to the Warriors with kyrie and love at his side is absolutely inconceivable.

Harden probably brought kyrie to his favorite strip club and kyrie refused to use protection.

Im curious who is liked more by their peers. Even with all the stuff that fans talk about, I have a feeling its Kyrie. It seems like a lot of guys around the league really like Kyrie. Not sure Harden is the most popular guy.

As much as I am not a fan of Kyrie...Kyrie in 2016 was a killer. He started leaking out flat earth and being a conspiracy head in 2017.

the vaccine is a temporary thing. harden is a ticking bomb disaster he will be making 62 freaking million dollars in his extension.
claiming harden is a better choice is just disregarding the future and gambling only this yr when the odd to win was 0 regardless of irving. i was trashing marks but finally he put down his ego and faced reality i give him a passing grade.

harden had more perceived trade value and he brought his successor curry. that is more than enough relief with simmons and drummond as well who can hold the fort. nets might win if mandate is lifted by playoffs. and there are even picks trading harden over irving is a no brainer who would have brought only ben.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.
