There is plenty of blame to go around.
Nash for being a horrible coach
Marks for hiring Nash
Kyrie for not taking the damn shot
And Harden for playing like **** and quitting
It takes ALL of these factors to produce this disaster season.
Harden "came here to win" but he sure hasn't played like it. Putting up his worse stats since his rookie year. Dragged by KD for every game.
Its not the Nets fault that KD got injured. Did KD blame Harden when he had to lead the Nets after Harden got injured? No he didn't. He just dealt with it
Not to mention Harden has basically had Kyrie for nearly every game since KD got injured.
Sorry we expect a former MVP to carry the team on his back while KD returns from injury. Its not asking that much.
I wonder how he responds in Philly once Embiid is out for a month or two. Does he quit on them too?
You feel he’s played bad? It’s 22/10/8 on 57TS% with a 4.1BPM and 3.2VORP. He’s playing fantastic ball. No context needed. He’s been an All NBA level player.
If he’s been playing well and the results aren’t of the game aren’t in favor what else could it be? Maybe the team around him? So despite the poorly constructed team he’s a 22/10/8 player. He’s making that happen. A similar situation last season with total opposite results.
Idk maybe I have a funny way of looking at games. Non shooters. Until Sharpe was inserted, no roll men. Collapsed defenses. As always league leader in traps. Yet 22/10/8.
But I do agree he shouldn’t want to leave. He should be using his position on this team to force the necessary changes. He runs the offense. The other two are amazing(especially KD) but are scorers they don’t really care who/what is around them if they can get an iso(point forward KD had an AMAZING week tho). Harden should be most involved in the role player selection because that’s his job and playstyle. Needs to pull a Lebron(very similar play styles) and demand new role players.
