I assumed Harden operated the PnR best paired with above the rim rolling bigs but Aldridge is more Embiid-like. Gives me hope that there'll be a lot of Harden-Embiid PnR flanked by 3 bombers/cutters.
Embiid will need to adapt his game a bit and I hope he commits to doing so, but to your point I think given Harden's scoring threat he will be able to get Embiid easy buckets on dump offs or just tossing one up there for Embiid to catch high and convert with a layup immediately, even though Embiid doesn't have the typical Capella/Howard type PnR oop game.
Embiid was asked about PNR's in a presser not long ago by Hoffman, and Jo's answer was to the effect of he doesn't want to be doing all that jumping to catch lobs off dives so he's doing the short rolls instead. Which is better for his legs, knees, and feet anyway. But maybe they can modify it where Jo can just catch without jumping and lay it in? Or just mix in a dive and alley oop or two simply to keep the defense guessing?
Honestly, if you can just get Jo a clean look from the foul line, that's going in more often than not.
