Boston Is Surging & They Got Better Thursday

Post#1 » by OrangeBlueSkies » Sat Feb 12, 2022 1:49 am

I want to give kudos to the Celtics. Just three weeks ago they were playing horrible basketball, Tatum went 0-20 on 3pa and we heard rumblings.

Credit to Udoka for keep his troops focused and much credit to stevens for bringing back Theis and adding Derrick White. White will 100% have a positive impact on this team, he can create with the ball in his hands and knock down open jumpers.

White
Smart
Brown
Tatum
Williams

Literally can switch everything on defense? Thoughts on the Celtics and their deadline moves ? By the way I don’t make these threads easily, but I do know how to give credit when it’s due.

So obviously, my post has aged well. that being said, without rob williams, are the celtics still a threat?

Im not even trying to hate but they've beaten a bunch of crappy teams and the only good team they played (Miami) was without Butler/Tucker/Lowry.

Not really. Can’t you at least wait until after the third quarter ends to start determining the outcome of a game? & who told you to bet them on Caesar’s tonight ?

As the great Roy Jones said

We made them look like nobodies. We have been known to struggle vs so called bad teams but it was a nice change to blow them out consistently.we have not seen that level of play in 1.5 years

Agreed... they have been taking care of business which is all you can do. Let's just wait for them to play a few good teams to see how they really are.

It was a great trade. White is better as a support player than cast one of the leads. He will do well next to the J's and Smart.

Someone needs to explain what happened with Marcus Smart. He was quickly becoming an afterthought and now he's low key their most important player again. Celtics are a different team when Smart is engaged like this.

That closing lineup of Smart, White, Brown, Tatum & Rob is going to be a nightmare for teams on offense.

I think he stopped trying to be what he wasn't, and started focusing again on what he was! In other words, he got back to focusinh on his first love - defense, and let others take most of the shots. He also has become a really good distributor. After all he is pretty.....SMART!!!!

Nothing we're doing is worth a General Board thread. OrangeBlue making us look like umm that team with a lot of fans on their board type of fan.

Robert Williams is one of the most underrated players imo. Many times this season he’s looked like the Celtics best player based on his impact. Even though Jokic filled up the stat sheet, Rob’s length gave him some trouble. Celtics being the best defense since Christmas all starts with Rob Timelord Williams.

Looking at their schedule in February and how injured the Nets are, that might be the easiest stretch of games any team plays all year, it’s insanely easy.

They were beating good teams at the same rate as any other good team in the conference all season long. They were losing to bad teams earlier in the year and playing down to competition.

which is why they been blowing teams out by 30. Its not like people are saying the Celtics are a threat to go deep into the playoffs
