I’m happy for Trez but I hate to see that man leave.

Like Nat has pointed out Kuz a wild card. I would have moved Bryant over Trez if they sign Beal.

Would have loved to see Beal, deni Kuz, KP and Trez start a game at least once

Bryant doesn't have any value as an expiring and there's not really a case to be made to spend much money on Trez as a free agent.

Getting a 2nd rounder and reducing the logjam at center in the same transaction is a bonus to me.

I’ll take your word for it because this is where I come to get good takes on wiz.

I have a few more tickets, like 8 more home games this year. I’m gonna miss Trez because he would come over before the game and talk to the fans (highschool basketball kids) and take pictures AND then go out and entertain the crowd. Sports is entertainment and if the wiz don’t put an entertaining team on the floor it’s going to be hard to continue to invest time and money and emotionally into this brand.

Overall, if you just look at the numbers w/o taking context into consideration, Kuz's play isn't a whole lot better than last year. But it's definitely better, & this is especially significant b/c he plays a far more central role here than he did in LA.

The ball is in his hands much more than it was as a Laker, which makes it that much more difficult to maintain a level of play -- & all the more difficult to improve. Kuz takes more FGAs & FTAs, gets more rebounds, delivers more assists, & also (inevitably) commits more turnovers.

Overall, for sure, he's become pretty valuable.

Plus, like nate, I definitely agree w/ Zards about Kuzma's "leadership" -- maybe his demeanor above all. He's an upbeat guy, he's confident, he gives the impression that he's enjoying himself. I agree that it's probably a big positive for the younger guys to be around him. Who knows if it'll make them better, but it sure can't hurt!

Here's hoping he has another season or two of improvement/development before he hits his prime. Oh, & that we can still re-sign him at a reasonable cost! :)

I'm sure this was posted elsewhere and I hope we lose most of the rest of our games, but you can't place a number on chemistry. There's no metric that can define it. Guys don't always have to like each other, but at least there needs to be some level of respect. I guessing that KCP was pretty happy that Trez and Din were traded yesterday and he's just the only one speaking up.

You saw it in how they played yesterday. The ball didn't stick to any player. They played high energy and low ego all game long. That big line-up especially played with good chemistry. As others have posted, they played like a Euroleague club, where the coach will bench you for trying to solo and play superstar. Passing, player movement, recognizing the mismatch and setting up the switches to take advantage. Even Rui was making the smart pass, no tunnel vision. They may not have top-end talent, but they have a number of players with developing upside. I personally like the acquisition of Ish Smith for this club. You know a guy is a veteran's veteran and locker room positive, when teams that have traded him away trade to get him back. Ish has been twice with the Sixers and three times with the Wizards (counting a 5 game pre-season). He carries good team karma. Ish man, we can't quit you buddy.

And that's how a healthy and normal basketball team should play. I really hope it will continue that way and that we already after this solistic bricked basketball. It's just one game, no need to start partying.
