Top of the East is crazy right now

With only a 4.5 game difference between #7 Boston and #1 Miami, look at the record of these teams in their last 10 games:
Miami - 7-3
Cleveland - 8-2
Chicago - 6-4
Milwaukee - 7-3
Philly - 7-3
Toronto - 9-1
Boston - 9-1

Right now if a team sneezes, they might get knocked down a slot or two! :lol:

It would be hard to ask for a more competive situation than this right now.

It’s amazing. Deepest and most talented East playoffs we’ve seen in decades.

1st round will be absolute bonkers. Teams like Nets, Raps & Celts are likely to be a lower seeds. Wouldn’t want to face any of them in a 7 game series.

That’s basically what happened to Charlotte. They were a half game back of Philly in 6th. Had won something like 10 of 14 then sneezed and lost 6 in a row, tumbling down in the standings.

I think it’s fairly safe to assume the 10 teams currently in place for playoffs/play in will remain unchanged. All that remains is to see the final position/matchups which might come down to which of these teams can stay (or return) relatively healthy

East will be very competitive in the playoffs this season but I will be shocked if Milwaukee or Miami don't come out the East.

Cavs have the easiest schedule left of the top 8, Bucks have the 2nd hardest.

hca pretty much doesnt mater. lower seeds who are playoff battle tested like celtics/nets will easily climb.
one team thats inexperienced but to watch out is cavs they can easiy make a hawks level run.

Really? How is that calculated? Just based off an average of opponents record? If that's the case it could be misleading due to the Magic/Pistons games, because I just looked at their remaining games and there's a lot of tough games remaining

There's no Suns or Warriors but they still have to play the Sixers 3 times, Bulls twice, Raptors twice, Bucks, Heat, Nuggets and Mavs and play the Nets toward the end of the season when KD might be back. Throw in some games against teams that aren't easy to beat like the Hawks/Wolves/Lakers & Clippers

I'm guessing that the fact they face the Pistons and Magic 2 more times might be affecting that calculation?

Doesn't really matter if you finish #1 or #8 in the East at this point. Any 1st Rd matchup is going to be difficult. I don't see any scenario where any team can sweep the 1st Round.
