Isn't this going to be reverse Shaq and Kobe?

- Kobe was born in Philadelphia and went to LA. Harden was born in LA and went to Philadelphia
- Shaq's (step)dad was an US Army sergeant; Embiid's father Cameroon military officer.
- Kobe was (essentially) drafted to the Lakers where he spent his entire career; Joel appears to be on the same path. Shaq and Harden were brought in later in his career to win championships
- Essentially same positions, pretty close to same heights. (not same weight, lol)
- Shaq birthday March 6, Joel March 16th; James August 26th, Kobe August 23

I'd happily settle for just a part of what they did.

No, this is the prophecy.

Can you imagine if they let Brett walk instead, resigned Jimmy, and traded Ben for Harden?

Had Morey originally taken the job when offered, that would have been reality.

You guys really have no idea, you’re so lucky to pair Harden with Embiid. I’ve been a fan since day 1 in Houston and this guy is nothing short of a slightly lesser Lebron James. On the court, he fits with anyone, can score from anywhere, pass to anywhere.

He’s out of shape but he does normally get into better shape after the all star break. Starts running stairs in the arena. Significantly improved defense in the playoffs. Makes everyone score easier. Makes every big man score easy points. Generates open 3’s for everyone.

Just don’t ever expect him to carry a mediocre cast to a title without superstar caliber teammates, he can’t do that. Otherwise perfect player, heavily underrated by fans.

What is the point of having a rooting interest in a team?

You said 'rooting'

means something different down here.
