And GSW won playing small. Even last year if one of Harden or Irving was healthy the Nets would have beat Bucks. Durant almost did it by himself.
And yeah those teams had all time HOF players. But this is how this works. Talent wins most of the time regardless of style. On occasion you got teams that win based on coaching and good chemistry like Dallas and Spurs recently. .
I know when we loose, people are gonna be on the small ball thing again. But if we loose it will be because the other team has Giannis, Embiid or Durant and we don't. It can't be when small ball wins its talent and when going big wins it's the system.

Cmon, man. AD and Durant are 6'10 and 7 ft by themselves. Bigger than Heat lineups.

I will give you AD but not KD. Size helps but KD is not really a true big. You can't argue as a rebounder or rim protector that KD is better than Bam. And Bam has shown the ability to play bigger than he actually is. So Nets without a big who is defensively as good as Bam almost beat Bucks
And even going back to the Lakers Heat series. We took them to 6 while Bam and Dragic were hurt and Lakers were healthy. And lot of people here would agree if healthy Heat would have won.
Size isn't everything. The are two places were small ball hurts. One against an elite low post player and two against an elite rebounding team. Currently there are only 2 bigs who Bam would trouble against down low, and that's Embiid or Jokic. In a sixers series, going small could hurt us. I'd assume for that series, Spo would mix up between small ball& going big. And were likely not to face Denver in finals this year. For everyone else, I think we would be fine playing small ball.

Size is size and demands attention and creates mismatches. The Nets haven't won anything. Durant is 7 feet. That ends your argument.

Dragic in GS would be dope, not sure they have the minutes for him. Stay away from Klutch’s dumpster fire in LA, Goran

From a purely sentimental perspective, it would be awesome. He is in my top 5 favorite Heat players of all time. I wouldn't mind seeing him take Gabe's minutes if he is productive. Having said that, he might go somewhere where he can guarantee playing time. Would love to have him back. It can work if you do the following

Lowry/Dragic/Vincent
Dipo/Herro/Strus
Butler/Robinson/Martin
Bam/Tucker/Haslem
Yurt/Dedmon/Silva

Just an idea.

Spoiler:

The Cavs are 1 game behind you with the 2nd easiest schedule remaining....I think there is a better chance Cleveland jumps to the #1 seed than there is a chance the Heat pull away.

I mean it’s definitely debatable and I think it mostly will rely on health. If we’re healthy we “should” distance ourself. Don’t sleep on Philly either. Cavs got better with Levert for dead weight too. We need to stay locked in

Yeah, it's definitely close, closer than that Cavs fan would have people believe. They do have an easier schedule, but a few things even it out for us.

Yes! We need to pick up Gogi!

As good as Gabe has been, Goran will bring much need playmaking and stability to that second unit. Much in the way that Kyle does for the starters. He also allows reduces some burden off Lowry to conserve his body during the second half of the season.

Did you know?

Miami is first in 3FG% and FT% differential.

5th in FG% differential.

We shooting the highest percent from three, yet are 14th in attempts.

Minnesota shoots the most 3s per game, but is 19th in percentage.

Oladipo, combined with Lowry and Gabe, would make life an absolute living hell for Kyrie, Holiday, Trae, FVV, Harden, etc. etc. in a playoff series.

We need to get the Dragon back here! He has unfinished business here. It's surprising that no one has mentioned the heat as a destination though.

I am really hoping that Oladipo can come back and be the player he used to be. If he is, then it makes sense why the heat would not go after the Dragon.

I agree with ya'll. Bringing back Goran would be a great insurance move in case Lowry, Herro, Gabe or Dipo are unable to go come the postseason. The east is going to be absolutely brutal this year as so many good teams are in the playoff picture. E.g. a trip to the finals may look something like: facing Toronto in the first round, facing Philly in the second round, and then facing Milwaulee in the ecf. Absolute murderers row of opponents. A lot of high level play is going to be required and injuries are bound to happen.

Lets bring back Gogi and lets add a healthy Morris and Oladipo to the roster in a couple weeks, and we should be ready for anything that comes our way.

Dragic is completely washed.

Longing for the old dragon to magically reappear is a fun fantasy, but unrealistic to put it gently. Cant recall a two consecutive game stretch in which he played well last season.

And he is a complete liability on defense, more so than either Herro or Duncan.

No thanks.
