Final trade deadline thoughts 2022 ccjk polling
I think they should just leave the gumbo on the stove a little longer and don't really worry about the ingredients at the moment

Trade Dinwiddie/Holiday/KCP/Bertans/Kuzma/Harrell
- keeping KCP and Kuzma is fine if there are no good offers
- don't pay to move Dinwiddie and Bertans
- Holiday has no value but if some team gives a late 2nd for him then go for it lol
- center situation has to be figured out
-> give Winston/Ayayi/Kispert/Avdija/Hachimura/Todd/Gafford/Bryant a lot of playing time

I’d keep Kuz and try to get a protected 2nd for Bryant. If we can get actual value for Rui, trade him as well. But, I don’t think he’d fetch much.
If we can’t trade some of the dead weight, buy them out.
In Rizzo we trust

Re: Final trade deadline thoughts 2022 ccjk polling
It's an absolute no-brainer to trade Harrell. He probably has positive value at the moment, and he probably won't be resigning with this joke of a franchise in the offseason, and he's good enough to hurt the tank. Trading him now turns him into future assets while losing more games now, and it comes at no opportunity cost since he won't be resigning anyhow. Take the best 2nd round pick you can get.
I'd obviously trade Bertans for anything with a smaller contract. But that's not happening at the moment.
I'd trade KCP. I think he's a positive asset as a legit 2-way 3&D player, but we have a log jam at forward and I really think he could net us a pretty good return, maybe even a late 1st if we moved him. Guys like him are always in demand by contending teams.
If someone offered expiring contracts and any positive asset for Dinwiddie, I'd move him. But I don't think that'll happen. I don't really have a problem with keeping him and letting him run the tank and hopefully recoup some of his value by the offseason.
Neto and Holiday don't have any value. They could be included as filler in another trade if needed. I wouldn't mind hanging onto Holiday only because he is young and we have Bird Rights so we wouldn't have to use the MLE to replace him in the offseason - allowing us to use the MLE to replace other holes made by trading away Harrell and KCP.
I'd keep Bryant for the remainder of the season unless someone offers a positive asset for him, which is unlikely.
I'd keep Avdija, Kispert, Gafford and Hachimura. All could conceivably be moved for equivalent young prospects, but such a trade is more likely to happen in the offseason rather than the Trade Deadline. Certainly, if Hachimura could be exchanged for a young guard, it would be a useful roster-balancing move.
I'm inclined to keep Kuzma unless the offer is pretty good (1st round pick in the teens). He is going to become a first option in meaningless games and may have the opportunity to post some gaudy numbers, which will boost his trade value. Or maybe he continues to evolve into a legit 2nd or 3rd option scorer.

Re: Final trade deadline thoughts 2022 ccjk polling
I kind of have it set in my mind like this:
Must trade
-Harrell
Harrell ain't coming back and he's played the best thus far of any of the tradeable vets. He's only making things more complicated with the center rotation and he's not going to help us tank playing for his next pay day.
Should Trade
-KCP
-Holiday (may be a stretch)
KCP is an obvious asset they should look to move as he's a 3&D guy with championship experience which contenders never have enough of. At the end of the day, if you don't move him, you can still try during the offseason as he has a team friendly deal. Holiday, I think could be overvalued by a team in need of a backup point guard, much like the Wizards overvalued him. He's played okay in some stretches throughout the season, certainly not bad enough for him to be an anchor.
Would Love to Trade
-Dinwiddie
-Bertans
Let's face it, the team is likely not moving either of these guys without giving up assets. Maybe a team could get desperate enough to take a gamble on Dinwiddie, but the team is likely going to have to hope to rehab some of their value in the last 30 or so games of the season to make anything plausible.
One Can Dream
-Neto
No explanation needed.
For the Right Offer
-Kuzma
-Bryant
-Rui
I'm not sold on Kumza yet, and I think he could certainly fetch at least a first, but it may be worth to continue to see if he can sustain his play. He's got an intriguing skill set, and has put together a good stretch, but is it sustainable, can he be engaged for most of the game? His big plays have covered over a lot of his bad (mainly disappearing for stretches or being content to launch contested jumpers), but he has potential and has shown maturation. With that said, he's probably the most valuable trade asset this team has right now outside of Beal and maybe some of the young guys, so selling high could make a lot of sense.
Bryant I'd like to move, but probably won't get anything in return for him given he hasn't seemed to progress much as a player. He's young enough to help the tank and try to develop to improve some of his liabilities, they'll also need two centers to end the season with. Maybe he'll thrive as a backup once there's a more established center rotation with the expectation that Harrell is moved.
Rui... I'm on the fence about, because he hasn't got anything close to consistent minutes since he came back and his three ball looks legitimately improved (his rebounding not so much). If someone offered a first though, it could be intriguing.

I'm trying hard not to care either way, but I fully expect to be disappointed by whatever happens. The curse is real.

Would love to come out of this deadline with all the vets traded and a good upside PG on the roster. Not sure how it's possible, but I can dream.

KCP to Utah for Ingles, Jared Butler and a couple of 2nds would be a great start.
Then just dump Harrell for a 2nd and I'd be pretty happy. Dumping Dinwiddie or Bertans would be gravy.

Option 2&3.
Trade Harrell, KCP, and Kuzma. Get as many assets as you can. Need to also create tons of playing time for the guys on rookie deals.

recognizing that it takes two to tango, I'd like to see everyone > 26 y.o traded for expirings and, more importantly, draft picks.
