Definitely. And I like Ded too, but he is limited. He busts his butt, but lacks the skill of Yurt. We def need to roll with a big lineup now and forever.

It’s Yurt’s passing that can really make things flow better offensively for that second unit.

Great point. Yurt is a quality passer.

Tbh, I don't even mind if Yurt plays off the bench behind Dedmon. As long as we stop neglecting our obvious size advantage. Play Ded with Bam and Yurt with Tucker. Just be big.

If yurt is as good as we think he is, could it be his contract?

Is there a situation that another team can sign him for more then we can when his contract expires?

Just gonna leave Yurtz' contract info here.

I don't think the Heat are trying to hide him, though.

Spo is just a small ball coach and he truly believes in it, to a fault some times.

And I don't think we'd risk losing a chance at a championship just to hide Yurtz.

However, it's interesting to note that Dedmon expires this season and may command more money than the Heat are willing to pay him. Or maybe the Heat just decide to roll with Yurtz and not re-sign Dedmon.

So maybe the answer to the Yurtz question depends on if we re-sign Dedmon. If Dedmon will command any money, Heat probably go with Yurtz. If teams believe he's too foul prone and boneheaded, he won't have much value. FWIW, Dedmon currently makes the minimum $2.4mil, which is worth re-signing at that price (2.8mil next season), but it's interesting to note that he's made around 7-13mil/yr on average the past few seasons and a team might be willing to throw their MLE at him for 1 or 2 years.

End of game when Kyrie got fouled Jax neglected to say whether he was shooting FTs and next thing you know he's announcing it's a one point game. Then PJ goes to the foul line and Jax manages to say everything except whether he's making the FTs. Really frustrating experience lol

Anyways thank god we avoided what might've been the worst loss of the season. And this one would've been on Spo for stubbornly sticking with the lineup that blew the lead

Same happened here. He’s pretty bad. He also reacts as excited for opposition baskets/plays as he does for Heat plays. When you have no eyes on the play it’s confusing as hell.

Did we make a defensive stop, steal, block? Nope the other team scored. :o Confusing. Poor guy. He needs to adjust.

Ugly game with some frustrating mistakes/decisions.

But the way I see it, Brooklyn was desperate and was not gonna stop. Essentially, it was a trap game and we still got the W.

Just take it and move on. This game doesn’t mean anything imo

He is a restricted free agent. Miami will have his bird rights and can choose to match any bids and sign over cap.

We don't have his bird rights because he has not been with us for 3 years, but yes...if he is a restricted free agent we can match any contract, we just can't go over the cap to do it.

So if we play him a ton, and he looks like he did during the period Bam was out, and just shows average improvement, we might be able to afford to keep him?

Anyone know what Miami's salary looks like in 2 years?

If it's not the year you're looking for, just change it in the red outlined section and hit "Update."

I been saying this since the beginning of the season. Jax is the worst play by play for the radio. My fav in the league by far is Al McCoy of PHX Suns. You can see the game as he describes it.

Let’s not poke that bear. That three of Durant, Simmons, and Irving is not going to be anything nice when we face them at full. Going to be comical if Spo thinks he can get away with his small ball antics when things matter the most.

Too late Metta, they have already been poked :)
