GT #56: Pistons @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [2/14/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 25-30 and 1-1 since the Trade Deadline!

They're coming off an excellent tank loss to the Kings on Saturday night. Sacramento scored 99 points from the 2nd quarter to the end of the game despite the Bullets leading at halftime!

For your Valentine's Day, the Pistons are in town and it'll be impossible to catch them in the Tankathon. They were involved in trades and got Marvin Bagley. Detroit, like Washington, is a terrible shooting team... might be some ugly basketball here!

This might be Bryant's last chance to impress, so I'm going to go out on a limb and predict 25 and 12 for him. Really, he should be able to do it against Stewart.

Kispert hits 5-9 on his threes, sets a new career high with 26 points. Wiz win 117-94.

The Pistons won't be trying to tank. But we'll probably lose anyways.

We're really really bad.

Also- why Bullets?

1978.

Imagine if after all those great Piston teams, they changed their name to The Maestros. What would you call them?

Oh I remember when the name changed.

People born that year would be what, 25 now?

Bey looks way better than Jerami Grant, anyway.

Kelly Olynyk looks like he and Jebediah are heading out to put the new roof on the barn after the game.

Avdija with a couple of tough offensive rebounds and went up real strong. Good on him.

You can see the potential that Deni has, because when he gets a left hand and does a crossover with a lefty drive, he'll be so much tougher to deal with. He's pump faking more and finishing better inside.

OTOH, Kispert's 3-ball still looks flat. Needs some arc. As I said that, he just threw up a rushed open 3 from 25 and bricked it.

I know it's Detroit, but it's hard not to be impressed with Ish Smith offensively. Hitting the open guy in only his second game with a new team.
