I can't capture and repost the Rotowire screenshot today for some reason, but as of 3pm, Gay is OUT and Rudy and Paschall are tossup GTD. For Houston, Wall and Garuba are out and Eric Gordon is green GTD.

As usual you can count on Snyder to overplay starters and waste a blowout. How in the hell do Butler, NAW and Hernangomez only get 4 minutes.

I didn't take it that way. I've been calling for a ten man rotation, defined by double digit minutes, instead of a nine man rotation, for a long time. We got that. We had five guys off the bench play 12 mpg or more plus Dok get 4:29 mins of non garbage time. No starter played 30 minutes.
The bench was playing well, scoring 47 points, not including Hernangomez' three garbage time points, and imo it was useful to let the combinations of bench players that played play together.

I don't begrudge Snyder playing House ahead of NAW in the rotation so far. Seems like House is earning it. House is probably a better defensive player than NAW, and it's defense where we are in most need of help. In addition, House has been taking and hitting his wide open shot opportunities at a good percentage.

I was not missing Gay at all yesterday, and everyone seemed legit, producing in one way or another.
Quin have one of the most talented roster the jazz have had 1-15. He should decide who plays vs every team in playoffs.
Sure we have starters, but vs some teams House should play more than O'Neale, Forrest or Paschall should play more minutes etc.

Re: Game 57: Houston Rockets (15-40) @ Utah Jazz (35-21)
Houston was backing way off of Forrest last night, daring him to shoot. They gave him literally 15 feet of space on the 3pt shot he missed. They were also packing the paint on his drives. Forrest went scoreless and had 3 TOs. The more teams do scouting on Forrest, the more we're going to have this issue. It's nice that he can take minutes and lighten Conley's load during the regular season, especially against weaker teams, but I'm not sure how much that is going to hold in the post season. Playoffs have shown that teams can't put perimeter players on the floor who can't shoot. Forrest has only made 4 3pt shots all season and is 4/18 (22%).

Good observation. I would like to see Jared Butler get more minutes.

Forrest has been playing more minutes because the Jazz have badly needed his defensive tenacity, but if this problem subsides (because we have House and Paschall, and because Donovan is playing harder) or the Jazz don't have a matchup that works with Forrest, then I think there is a huge open door for NAW or Butler to take some of Joe Ingles' minutes in the rotation.
