The Cruise play the Ignite tonight on BSD. Something different from the tank grind. I'm actually looking forward to watching a game for a change.

Ha! This post says everything about being a Pistons fan right now.
I admit that 1) I either just read a summary of the game or 2) watch few minutes of Pistons basketball in between watching actually competitive games.
I just hope when I click on it that Olynyk won't be playing. It's take the existential experience of being a Pistons fan right now to Nietzsche levels.

That, and he's not that good to begin with. The level of hype he received on this board in the offseason was cringe.
What level of hype? I don't recall anybody hyping up Olynyk to be something amazing.
Also, I don't think it's fair to say that he stinks since coming back from injury because he got paid and doesn't care anymore. He was pretty good before the injury so I'm thinking that the injury is still bothering him somewhat or it's that typical vet on bad team thing when the effort level starts dropping a bit late in the season as the team begins The Death March to the end of the season, my care level as a fan has waned quite a bit since early in the season as well although I'm not getting paid millions to watch. Same is happening with Grant who is just kind of going through the motions since his return.
Yep. If KO had continued to play the way he had been to start the season I'd have no issue with him whatsoever, even at $12 million. Not that I'd ever consider him part of the future plans by any means, but I certainly didn't look at him as a "why the hell did Weaver do that?" player. As I've posted before I think he was an insurance policy vet presence just in case the young players overperformed relative to expectations this season and had a shot at a playoff spot.
