Bengals last year got hot. Ran super hot in the playoffs. I say fix the Oline, gets some dbs, they can make noise for real. No hot streak needed, just straight dominate opponents

So Rodgers is trending towards returning to the Packers, after all the drama of last year.

The logic is that in a relatively weak NFC, it would be his best chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Packers could have the best record again, since they’re in a weak division.

But they’re more than $25 million over the cap and that’s not counting for the cap hit from Rodgers staying or what Davante Adams will be paid.

In fact, it may be better for Adams if Rodgers doesn’t return because without him, Packers may be more likely to let Adams leave in free agency whereas if Rodgers come back, the team will probably franchise tag Adams, denying him a big long term contract.

Regardless of what they do with just those two players, team has a lot of needs and some big salaries to deal with. For instance, Zadarius Smith is on the last year of his deal and is scheduled to make almost $28 million next season while Preston Smith is also in his last year, scheduled to make almost $20 million.

If they address the cap and keep all the best players, then the 2023 season will also have cap problems, with Kenny Clark scheduled for over $23 million and Rodgers due a new contract.

So Rodgers goes back for 2022, it could be the last shot as 2023 could mean cutting or losing some other star players.

Jags tag Cam Robinson

Think it likely means we're not drafting OL with the 1st pick, either we're trading down or taking EDGE.

So the AFC West gets tougher. Broncos now have the 4th best odds to win the Super Bowl after Buffalo, KC and GB.

Only $20 million for a #1 WR.

Meanwhile Adams sees Rodgers get another big piece of the pie. Or another whole pie.

Wow Mike Brown going for it.

Someone convinced him that before they pay Burrow, they better try to win it.

Bengals need to replace their RG and RT in FA without a doubt. The C and LG more than likely need to be replaced in FA too. Jonah will probably have to stay at LT, for better or worse.

Followed by Bengals need to trade up and get a CB1 in the first round of the draft.

Bengals did well in the first week of free agency addressing their biggest need, the O-Line.

LT: Jonah Williams
LG: ?
C: Karras
RG: Cappa
RT: Collins

Still have a hole at LG, a lot of speculation that it will be a battle between a rookie, one of the young guys currently on the roster, or my thought is a cheap older veteran ring chaser.

Derick Carr getting 40.5 million a year now. Beyond wow. What is the NFL becoming? Paying guys like Carr and Prescott 40+ mill a year is just out of bounds.

Well they paid their new #1 WR Adams huge money.

So they have to pay his QB right?

I don't know what the Raiders' expectations are for this coming season. With McDaniels, it's probably high even though every team in that division thinks their contention window is now.

and a no-trade clause! $65m guaranteed over 3, but I haven't seen how that breaks down.

Love that the Raiders are actually investing in building a cohesive team, and I get that acquiring a solid QB is tough these days, but it still feels like a bit of an overpay at this time. If the Raiders refuse to spend more (believe they're just barely over the cap rn), then I don't see much more than upper-level mediocrity for them
