You guys know I watch every UK game, personally I don’t think he’s been all that great, I liked the idea of taking him 15-20 but now that the Knicks are top 10 bound I would look another direction

Personally I think the franchise needs a miracle and the only real Hail Mary pass I see is hoping Shaedon sharpe declares for the draft and then either winning the lotto, hoping he falls to 8/9, or trading up. And then hoping he’s a franchise savior. I dunno if he’ll be good but he’s an unknown and nobody in the draft who has played screams franchise savior to me. So yeah, go all in on sharpe

you're probably right but I just tried tankathon simulation and got TYTY on 1st try at #9! He's the only PG in their first 16 picks - how bad can he be? Has the 1st picked PG ever truly sucked from the get go (unlike the Mudiay, Dennis Smith jr, Franks who were not the #1 PG of their years)?

PS did it again and got him again at #10!

So before Thibs completely crapped the bed the two guys I liked most for this team was Dyson Daniels and MarJon Beauchamp.

I just don’t know if Daniels is a PG, I have seen some comps to a Dejuante Murray and Brogdan but I don’t think he is nearly as dynamic of a creator for himself as those guys are. He feels like a secondary playmaker which could work on the Knicks if they wanted to build around Randle and RJ still having a lot of touches. He plays off of Hardy and Pooh on that ignite team and does his share of PG duties. He could be a successful version of what they keep trying to do with Burks…. Or he could be just like Burks

Flipside I also like MarJon because because he reminds me of Mikal Bridges but with some more upside. A lot of mocks have him going to grizzlies because he mocks like a grizzlies player, tough and good off ball. That’s what the Knicks need.

I am not even sure those guys go lotto this year but those were the guys I liked with Thibs as the HC. Both are good defenders, and I don’t think both would mind spending time in the G League (again) as Thibs rides the Vets to no avail next year. If they fire Thibs and go after guys with more upside, than established talent idk. Especially when the Knicks don’t win the lottery. Like every other recent lottery pick outside of KP and RJ after 5 you enter a no man’s land of trying to figure out if someone is a lottery talent or just ok.

Tankathon is set up to have a team draft by position of need and ours has been PG for 20 years so if he’s on the board they’ll have us take him pretty much no matter what. Idk if he is a PG. He doesn’t play PG at Kentucky. Sahvir Wheeler does. He did step in and have that 17 ast game but idk. Knowing our luck they won’t take him and he’ll be Booker or SGA etc

The Athletic's mock draft (based on league wide perceived value, not team need) has us getting Tyty at 10... which I'd be cool with but Dyson Daniels goes 11th. If his stock is that high now I have zero problem taking him wherever we end up that isn't the top 5. Probably will feel differently in June but right now I kinda want to just shoot for the guy with potential to be good to great on both ends.

100% a superstar in the NBA. This kid looks like the next Ja Morant with the way he plays and how fast he is and how he's always moving but he's doing it as a SG. He does look like he might be able to play PG but not sure you take a kid with this much talent and try making him something he's not now. I'd probably take this kid #1 in the draft.

I think as of right now you leave him at SG. The best compliment I can give him as a passer is that he isn't blind and doesn't force much. Haven't seen him really set guys up the way you'd like a pg prospect to, but he makes the kick out when its there and his athleticism lets him get off some jump passes most shouldn't try. I'd rather let him have a role that focuses on scoring and hand the pg duties to someone else.
