If Patrick Baldwin drops to #31, do you draft him? Taller Brandon Boston?
I'm hoping Kendall Brown's continued poor play has him drop to #31. He needs a couple years of development but I believe in him more than Baldwin, who would be lucky to become close to Jaden McDaniels.
Reminds me of Skal dropping. People wanted to jump all over Masai for drafting Pascal over him, I think he made the right choice. If someone drops because they suck, don't draft them. If someone drops because there are just better players or they were injured (OG) go for it.
Right. The rest of his team must be terrible, but still he's so tall can shoot over anyone. He plays in such a weak league like reminds me of the hype of Lamine Diane.

Re: Official 2022 Draft Thread
Toronto n GSW were on hand to watch Leonard Miller and Elijah Fisher the other day. Both supposed to be in D1 or GLeague or NBL next year....
Miller is approaching 6'10 lefty guard / wing player
Fisher is a Ant man clone, 6'6 probably 200lbs SG
Miller lacks the motor Fisher has, Fisher lacks the control / calmness that Miller displays

Soooo.... no one's in on Trevion Williams with me? He doesn't fit our long boi roster, but neither does FVV. This guy is tailor made for an elite offense. He can run the offense out of the post like an early 2000's Vlade Divac. Partner him up with Scottie + shooters and in a few years and we'll have teams head spinning.

As a second round flier he's interesting especially when teams zone up against us he's a zone breaker with his elite passing

Yeah, and I feel like now that we're picking in the 2nd round we should go for proven quality over potential, unless someone drops. He fits a position of need, plus he already has a rare elite ability for a big.
This passing is so beautiful to watch

Moussa Diabate with his best game tonight. Flashing lots of potential. Hitting hook shots, midrange fadeaways, lots of tough finishes in traffic, some athletic dunks. Very intriguing prospect at 31 if he declares
Finished with 28 (12/15 FG), 8 rebs

Can Julian Champagnie tell teams not to take him with a 2nd round pick? Then sign with Toronto.
https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/
Kendall Brown down to #26.
Give his agent a promise to stay in the draft for a 3 year deal at the #31 pick.
PG FVV - Banton - DJ
SG Trent - Harris/Julian
SF OG - Barnes - Yuta/Kendall
PF Barnes - Siakam - Justin
C Siakam - Precious/Birch
GLeague - Kendall, Julian, DJ

His offensive game is very Marc Gasol like, even comparing their sizes. However we are definitely not going in that direction unless he's a specialty bench player that can guard bigger Cs. LIke his game but not with this team.

Re: Official 2022 Draft Thread
I can't see us taking him either, but I can see us regretting passing on him. I agree that he doesn't fit the mold of this roster, but at the same time neither does FVV. If Williams can improve his 3 and FT% I don't see why he wouldn't provide lottery value in a draft like this, because in my opinion this draft is full of mediocrity.Kevin Willis wrote:BoyzNTheHood wrote:Karanpal wrote:As a second round flier he's interesting especially when teams zone up against us he's a zone breaker with his elite passing

Re: Official 2022 Draft Thread
I mentioned mostly wings and forwards like Justin Lewis and Terence Shannon Jr. I had really saw a ton of Cs that were interesting.
Christian Koloko is probably the guy I saw most for our pick but he us a bit raw.
The new name that is super intriguing is Jaylin Williams. He plays on Arkansas so not in the spotlight but he is a high IQ, bouncy athlete that I swear when I watch film see him as a small forward but then realize he is 6'10 beast.
Against Walker Kessler he held his own. You see the charges taken, key boards, running step by step with guards down court, cross court passes and just knows where to be on every play.

I swear this guy is an NBA guy. Kind of reminds me of Jericho Sims but smarter and crafter.

He should stay a year to get a 1st round guarantee. He could be Bobby Portis 2.0.
I would take him over Chris Boucher in terms of potential and salary.

I agree, there are a lot of centres in the range worth taking a look at.
Jaylin Williams is super interesting. Love the BBIQ, poise, passing and shooting potential. He's also still very young. I would not be upset at all if he was the pick. I think he plays in the league for a while
The athleticism doesn't jump out though, so not sure he can fit in with how the Raptors like to play defense. Though in fairness, he plays in drop for the most part, and prefers to try to take a charge over jumping for blocks. Would think the Raptors bring him in for a workout to see how he holds up.

Jabari Smith having a hell of a game. Hard to pick between him and Chet at 1.

Tyty Washington looks like a woman to me. Statement means nothing, just an observation.

I'd still take Walker Kessler, but Colin Castleton is outplaying him today
