His career highlight is a Block in Game 7. No other All-time great has a defensive play as their defining moment.

AI had his step over of Ty Lue
MJ had the shot in Utah over Bryon Russell
Magic Johnson had the baby hook
Shaq and Kobe had the alley oop vs Portland
Hakeem had the dream shake vs David Robinson
Curry had the buzzer beater vs OKC

LeBron will end up being the most prolific Offensive player in history but still end up without an offensive highlight that will be played for eternity.

I know it's just a regular season game, but it's still one of the most unexpected and clutch shots he's hit in his career.

The shot with Indy in the 18 playoffs.
The shot with Chicago in the 16 playoffs.
The shot with GS in the play in last season.

And half of the guys you listed(Magic? Iverson? Curry?) don't have defensive highlights at all.

To me it's either this (cause it should've been an And1) or a tossup between the dunk on Jones, dunk on Terry, or the buzzer beater in '09 EC gm1. A dark horse pick would be his jumper to seal the '13 Finals

He had that running bank shot against toronto :(

Its amazing how little that running bank shot is talked about considering the degree of difficulty on that shot. I suspect its cause most people that don’t play ball don’t really understand how hard of a shot that is and it doesn’t look as fancy as all those 3 pt buzzer jacks were used to seeing.

There was one play where he threw it off the backboard to himself for a dunk in the finals against the warriors. He also has that dunk against Jason Terry and the Wade oops. The Wade oop where Wade threw it behind his head was won of the most electric plays I’ve seen.

His heavily contested corner 3 at the buzzer against the Bulls in 2015. If he misses that, they go down 3-1 in the series.

btw, I'd say Jordan's shot over Russell was more infamous as he clearly fouled. As a Cavs fan, I'm just not going to mention the one that comes to my mind ...

The one on Duncan was the first that came to mind for me

it's because most of his game is predicated on him winning the genetic lottery and using that advantage to finish at the rim. He isn't a very skilled offensive player with a bag of one on one tricks. The fact that people can't come up with a signature play speaks volumes about how laughable the notion that he should be a GOAT candidate.

I'm pretty sure we've come up with multiple signature plays, and I bet you've seen many of them.

If there's no consensus that one of them is his clearly the greatest of his career, that's hardly a knock.

this is my all time #1 lebron play - partly because the pass on the part of love was part of what made it all so spectacular. dude grabs the ball, steps out of bounds, turns and in a split second, without missing a beat hits lebron with a perfect pass and that shot - good effing grief. just a ridiculous shot to complete one of the greatest and most underrated basketball plays of all time.
