Hachimura scored 5 points in the last minute when the game was pretty much out of reach, so I'd discount his numbers a bit. I'm not hating. He had a solid game, but he definitely wasn't POTG for me.

I think it's down to Kispert and Ish. I'm going with Ish. He totally dominated the 4th quarter and delivered clutch bucket after clutch bucket whenever the half court offense broke down.

Ish with the sweat, broke jumper. On the odd nights when it goes in, he’s good.

It was pretty close between Deni, Ish, and Kispert with a bunch of honorable mentions, but ultimately went Deni slightly edging Ish for defense.

Had Deni not started the game 0-6, I think its a much easier call, but he finished the game 4-4 from the field and 4-4 from the line while leading the team in rebounding with 8 and being an overall pest on defense (2 steals that he was credited for but felt like he was the catalyst for two others and a block). He also hit a big three after Brooklyn erased our 13 point lead near the end of third to go into the fourth that helped quell their momentum.

Our 3 last rookies (Corey, Deni, Rui) played great and it was beautiful to see. All played over 27 mins each. I hope Wes plays them that much the rest of the season. Great for their development!

But Ish deserves POTG. Nice to have a competent point guard for a change…

The votes for Ish are basically just feel-good nostalgia. Tho he played well, Neto had an overall better game than Ish.

In fact, if I could give POTG to the combined minutes of Bryant & Neto, that's what I'd do. That was 35 minutes of dominating play. But, of course, owing to the exile into which this Board has sent him, Thomas Bryant goes unmentioned.

Now, obviously, you can't give potg to a guy who only plays 14 minutes, but it stuns me that no one even mentions Bryant turning 6 shots & 2 FTAs into 12 points (a .872 TS% !!) while in the same 14 minutes he also grabbed 5 boards & logged 2 assists & 2 blocks while committing no TOs or fouls.

Let me put it this way: minute for minute that's a better line than Daniel Gafford has ever had. Minute for minute, it's the best outing by any Wizard this season. Including Trez. In fact, if that line had been put up by Montrezl Harrell, there would have been some noise here to give POTG to him. Without a doubt.

OTOH, Rui does get some votes -- plus an honorable mention from nate -- even though it took him 9 more shots to score 8 more points than Bryant, & in 27 minutes he managed one solitary rebound.

Don't get me wrong, that's still very good shooting by Rui -- & it's especially gratifying to see him continue to shoot the 3 ball so well!
