I said this during Summer League. His game just doesn’t translate well in those type of “unstructured” run and gun type of environments.

I liked the tournament format, it made for 3 real entertaining games.

I think they should use the same format for the main Allstar game going forward.

That Suggs to Cole at the end of the video was pretty cool to watch.

Best defensive effort we’ve seen from him  I really do love the guy- just not sure where he ends up role-wise

I was thinking the same when I was watching. What we need is our coaches/older players(not many of them on the team) to tell him to mentally approach regular season games the same way he did in the rising stars game.

It's going to take some time for him... Seems like he's overwhelmed in pressure situations which in turn causes performance issues.

Luckily he's on an organization that seems to really focus on player mental/physical health with their players. Hopefully Suggs can take advantage of the resources here.

I'm still convinced Suggs is a cornerstone type of player. Maybe not as good as some of us had hoped, but will still be a very, very all-star type of player. If I had to guess what happened with his short early on is in part that we were so thrilled to get him and announced him to be a savior that he put that pressure on himself. It was and is too much for him. Even at Gonzaga he didn't have that pressure. But as he learns to relax, let the game come to him and work with a coach like Moseley, he's going to get better quickly. He's too talented and has a great head on his shoulder.
