Yeah, this one flew under the radar with ask the trade news, I was sad to hear about Brad. I imagine Damian will also shut it down for the season, since his team is pivoting if not fully rebuilding.

I’m happy for him. Glad to see Allen continue to his growth and develop into an Allstar.

Philthy better hope that Hardens hemi's ready to go. They didn't score 50 points yet and it's middle of the 3rd quarter.

Whatever Saltics have their number for sure. Might as well face them in a first round.

Cavs, Heat, & Sixers all lost tonight... Hope we can start a run of our own even before KD gets back and Ben10 debuts for the Nets, so we can creep back up the seedings...

Boston has been busting heads as of late. We need to get our full roster together ASAP.

They are playing better but that win streak is full of weak wins.... of the 9 wins:

5 vs. bad opponents: Magic, Pistons, Nets (no KD/Ben/Kyrie/Curry/Drummond), Pelicans, Kings

1 vs. Philly with no Harden and they own philly.

1 vs Hornets (Sub .500 team who was on a back to back)

2 quality wins vs. Denver and Miami (back to back)

Still you have to win the easy ones and as we saw on that losing streak, isnt automatic. but they havent been world beaters.

Yup. It's why Harden (especially) & many others make me cringe when they are looking for a foul call every time they shoot. When I started watching basketball, it wasn't exactly "no blood, no foul" but also not far off. Also, when people dismiss the bygone era & assume players are more talented now. The game is so different. Some players would have survived back then, while others would have been destroyed. Similarly, the enforcers of yesterday likely wouldn't survive in the current NBA.

There are four guys who I know for certain would excel in any era of basketball:

Jordan, LeBron, Shaq and Kobe.

Everyone else is up for debate.

I think there's a lot more than that. Just looking at the athletic & skilled Cs of yesteryear, I have no doubt that Olajuwon & Robinson would thrive in either era. I think Duncan would have been fine too. I'm sure Giannis would have been fine. A lot of the old Guards like Gary Payton would work now too. You're essentially looking at the fastest and most skilled of the old era and the more physical of this era.

The top of the East isn't even that good. Miami and Chicago are the best teams at 38-21, a .644 winning percentage. That's pretty low for a #1 seed. And I honestly thought we'd be in way more of a hole...but we're only 7 games back. That's extremely doable, if we go on a run after the break.
