2 of his last 3 games were two of his worst for the season. Maybe that's why, obviously not good to have poor games at their level but probably need to wait for a trend.

He also had a great game mixed in there too

I like Davis more than most.. but I also expect his shooting %’s to look better in the NBA. He’s doing everything for his team right now on a team with pretty miserable spacing.. I’m not sure I have him over Ivey but when it’s all said and done I think I have him at 5 after Chet, Paolo, Smith and Ivey. I haven’t done enough research on Sharpe yet

As it is he seems like you can throw him in at shooting guard on any team and he can get you 20 with above average defense.

The first is quite a tall task, though. And regarding the latter, he's not going to get the opportunity to get enough shots up in the NBA if he's not becoming more efficient as a scorer (unless it's on a tanking team). Still a very good prospect, though.

Not really sure what's happened to him and his 3pt shooting. He easily could've played himself into the top 5 of this draft.. but his chucking tendencies and 3pt % will move him to the end of the lotto.

I'm still a fan, but I can't defend a modern day SG putting up 19 shots.. and only 5 of them being 3pt attempts. It seems to be a pattern for him. Against Michigan in February, he shot 17 times... but only 1 3pa.

Is it telling to anyone else that Michigan State completely frustrated Johnny Davis and the very next day Jaden Ivey has a big all around game against them?

Supposedly he is playing hurt now, so do with that what you want.

towards end of lotto is where he should've been all along, 10-14 range really.

problem is, not a lot of players in this class are really 'worth' top 8 picks.

Never liked him much. Doesn't shoot threes, doesn't generate steal/blocks, average at best passing.

He's 6'5" 195 pounds and his best trait is....his defensive rebounding? Don't see a covetable skillset in this guy, despite his ppg jump as a sophomore.

He's a really good perimeter defender. High IQ + effort on that end.

He's a good ball handler who can get off his shot in unique ways. His main problem is the 3 pt shooting attempts.

I just dont like how much the guy shoots. Feel like he could shoot you out of game or win it for you.

Literally he wants to shoot the ball everytime he touches it it feels like

Would a poor man's Jimmy Butler be an apt comparison for him?

I've soured on him a bit lately but he's still just inside top 10 for me.

His comfort in the midrange and keeping his dribble alive in the key is really important. All talented scorers need that. He just needs to add some playmaking from there for his game to really take off in the NBA.

Shorter Jimmy is solid, for sure.

He's kind of a Jimmy Butler/Donovan Mitchell lovechild, maybe not with the same ceiling.

Healthy Brandon Roy watch out everyone who is doubting him. Don't get why everyone is ignoring his proven ability to drastically improve from one season to the next. Despite having the biggest leap from anyone in college basketball suddenly he is what he is. Wouldn't be shocked if he comes in as a rookie with a totally unpredicted improvement as a shooter or playmaker. Undervalued in prospects is mental and emotional make up. Its more often the difference between which players become stars than athleticism or anything else that gets far more attention. Truth often is that if they have the desire and mental strength they will put in the time to become great no matter the limitations. Think Davis has that drive and desire in spades well remaining both coachable and moldable. That incredible rare combination with his already proven ability as leader on winning team makes me far more confident in him turning into a all star than his bust chance

Still trying to give my guy the love he deserves. Check out this fantastic scouting report by the Pacers SB nation site.

He is a monster at getting to the line and his 80% FT indicates his shooting % should go up (He was forced to create alot of tough shots). But I am not sure I see the Roy comparison, I didnt watch much WIS but 2.1 APG doesnt scream Brandon Roy to me.
