Bummer. Think PHX will be okay but they’ll miss their leader for awhile.

Oof. They do have an abundance of ball handlers in PHX though.

Hmm... CP3's career is generally him being hurt in the playoffs but this is long enough out that this might actually let the rest of his body recover and maybe he'll be full go

Update... when I wrote this I thought he was only going to be out 6-8 weeks and fully recovered... my bad.

season ends 7 weeks from today...so he's probably done until the playoffs.

Suns have built up a 7ish game lead so they can survive this. Just get him healthy for the playoffs.

That sucks. Any sliver MVP hopes he had is gone.

It says "re-evaluated" in 6 to 8 weeks. Could be out for a while.

Dragic back to Suns should be in play now.

Hopefully he's back for the playoffs. I think at worst the Suns will finish with 60 wins if they play .500 basketball the rest of the way without him.

Getting Dragic would be big for them

That absolutely blows. I want to see this team healthy in the post season. They can get through the first round against most matchups without him, but he needs to be there for round 2 or they’re dead.

It ended bad there. Not sure if feelings were hurt. Maybe James Jones being with the Suns can make it work.

They've been the luckiest team in terms of health the last two seasons, they were bound to face at least one significant injury to a top player.

The 6.5 game cushion they built should be enough to maintain the no.1 seed, especially since they don't have a difficult remaining schedule.

Well this makes the play-in interesting. Does a team maybe "take it easy" in the 7/8 game?

Paul isn’t a guy that will need to work himself back imo. He will be ready to go right away.

Some guys I’d worry about being away 8 weeks but Paul can be thrown right into the playoffs and do his thing. As long as it’s healed.

Welp.

With this awesome news I guess I'll say that I'm happy we got Holiday to help out CamP and Elf. Hopefully CamP can handle this but we have options. Also, maybe if he can, we can move his contract this summer for cap relief for later 2024 picks to some other team who will see how (Hopefully) fantastic he handles the next 2 months.

I'd also say that we should run our offense through Ayton. Let him show that he truly is a max player and can fully handle our post Chris years.

We have a 7 game lead on the Dubs-who still won't be getting Draymond and Wiseman back for another month.

We'll be fine.

He's going to be reevaluated in 6-8 weeks, doesn't mean he'll be back in 6-8 weeks. The Playoffs start in 8 weeks. If the timetable is accurate he's likely not going to be playing when the Playoffs start.

Tragic but expected, CP3 always gets hurt sometime in a season so I was surprised he wasn't injured sooner.

Good news for Phoenix though is that they can handle losing him until the playoffs thanks to the lead they built up. Worst case scenario they slip a bit and fall down to 2nd or 3rd, which shouldn't affect their playoff chances anyway. Getting CP3 healthy is their top priority.
