KG still holds a stupid grudge because Ray left & signed with Miami.

Ray was always a standup guy. He was a great Sonic. Great leader & teammate. Like a lot of fans, I was heartbroken when management (Presti) dealt him to Boston.

Ray Allen left the Celtics for the Heat.

Ray Allen grew up a military brat where he moved and changed teams ever 3 years so moving around was normal to him, and the Bucks had already traded him.

KG was super loyal, all about “Ubuntu”, and felt betrayed that Ray Allen left the Celtics for their enemy.

I actually enjoyed this from both sides. This beef is hilarious. If KG and Duncan can squash their beef and they were hated rivals, then I believe eventually these two will mend fences one day.

Doc Rivers and Danny Ainge tried to trade Ray Allen. For OJ Mayo, but the two teams couldn't agree on the details, so the deal fell through.

Then Doc Rivers started to bench Ray Allen and give his minutes to another player, i think it was Avery Bradley? I forget who it was

Nobody stood up for Ray Allen while this was going on. The Celtics tried to trade him and didn't want him.

Fast forward to the offseason.

Pat Riley and the big 3 Heat (Lebron, Wade, Bosh) wanted Ray Allen. They offer him a contract but more importantly, they promise Ray Allen a critical role on the team.

Ray Allen accepts the offer and goes to Miami.

KG, Pierce and the rest of the teenagers act all surprised and angry and feel "betrayed" by Ray Allen for joining the "enemy" (Miami's Big 3). Funny how none of them stood up for Ray when he was being shopped and being benched.

The Heat go on to win the championship, and Ray Allen nails the historic 3point clutch shot vs the Spurs in the Finals.

What KG doesn't tell you, is how nobody stood up for Ray Allen when they were benching him and trying to deal him away to another team.

Ray Allen looks out for himself and accepts an offer for bigger role on another team, and now his former teammates hate him for exercising his rights as a free agent, leaving a team that didn't want him.

Nice job leaving out the fact that Danny Ainge was trying to trade Ray Allen, and Doc Rivers was benching Ray and no longer wanted to give him a bigger role.

Another team wanted him. Paid him, offered him a bigger role, and he accepted.

KG is a giant hypocrite and a baby.
