Anyone worthy of note from the Senior Bowl? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's an isolated week, out of season, blah, blah. Especially when there's acres of tape and other data from regular season. However, it does present an opportunity for some peer-against-peer action in a fairly equalized setting

Boye Mafe, pass rusher out of Minnesota, looked really good.

Drake London profiles exactly like a WR I think MLF would love. Probably a higher end Lazard.

If he doesn't get hurt, I think he might be the top WR in this class. All that said, I feel like Garret Wilson is kind of the Justin Jefferson of this draft. Might be the guy that comes right out and is pretty successful right out of the gate.

I like this WR class a lot. Not really a top guy in the class but lots of potential top guys. Treylon Burks is like if Ty Montgomery was actually good. Can block, built like a running back and has soft hands. Chris Olave is silky smooth. And one of my other favorites is Jahan Dotson. A bit undersized on the boundary, but he's so smooth. Then you add in the guys you mentioned, and I hope we can get one of them.

I saw some people collecting W's for their Aaron Donald draft takes this week, so it made me look up his draft profile from back then. It's been a few years since anyone has heard from total dickbag Nolan Nawrocki, but man, I'm glad his NFL.com scouting report lives on.

#23 pick - NY Jets - Eric Stokes

Stokes lands with the defensive back needy Jets. He can play inside and out and turned in a quality first year in the NFL.

#29 pick - Packers - Nate Hobbs

Hobbs flew under the radar all season on a susceptible Raiders secondary, and would be welcomed to Green Bay with Eric Stokes off the board.

I realize Gardners a CB, but it got me thinking about what's the most likely path to backfill behind or replace Amos/Savage? I'm assuming both are around for this year, but after? The current backups aren't scaring anybody.

Gardner is a top 10 pick so unless Gutekunst comes to his senses and we end up with Denver’s pick it’s not worth talking about.

That being said if Green Bay had that pick he could be BPA on the board. I’d still go Stingley as CB1 though.

And if we make a trade with Denver I would rather include Surtain and use that pick on someone else....preferably trading down with another team and getting more future firsts because I do not like this draft.

IMO, the wildcards will be if one or more of the QB desperate teams persuades themselves that this less-than-stellar crop of QB's is better than advertised. Those teams may become the 1:55am drunk who swears the mutant he's talking to is the prettiest girl in creation..... Some GM/Owner falls in love with one of those meh QB prospects and then the draft sequence gets scrambled fast.

They obviously liked Love enough to trade up a few spots for him at #26, but Jefferson would have required more assets; he went to MIN at #22, and PHI picked a WR at #21. Seems like it would have been JAX at #20, and maybe an extra 4th rounder was not enough for JAX.

Interesting to think how that draft would have ended up with Jefferson to GB instead of Love in the first round. Who takes Love (presumably in between #26-29, for GB to have to trade up)? Miami already with Tua in that draft, then SEA and BAL have their QB set for many years, so it must have been TEN at #29 they were trying to get ahead of.

Would GB end up with any QB in that draft after the first round? Hurts doesn't seem like their cup of tea. Maybe James Morgan the local kid who went to the Jets? Maybe they don't pick a QB in that draft. And end up with Trask this past draft? He went to TB right after GB picked Myers.

The Colts took Michael Pittman Jr in the 2nd round too. I don’t remember but did Indy trade back up into the early 2nd for Pittman? Or did we try to get in front of them and couldn’t? I swear I remember hearing that rumor we wanted Pittman but couldn’t get a deal done and then Indy took him.. sucks we got burned twice in the same draft and Jefferson is a star and Pittman is a beast. We really missed out unfortunately.

CBS Sports, in one of the draft season click bait articles - this one on combine sleepers, highlights this guy:

Wide Receiver - Wan'Dale Robinson, Kentucky

There is exactly zero buzz for Robinson right now. Why? Well, underclassmen like him -- who aren't at the Senior Bowl -- always slip through the cracks...until the combine. Robinson was sandwiched between Jameson Williams and John Metchie atop the SEC receiving yard list in 2021, and he caught 104 passes.

Traits-wise, Robinson was built to play in today's NFL. He's smaller, but ultra-sudden with acceleration to turn jukes into touchdowns. Based on his film, Robinson feels like a prospect who's going to erupt in the agility drills in Indianapolis then land on the second day of the draft and be a stud quickly in the NFL.
