We will probably draft Bronny late first round even second round and then we will finally have LeBron on our roster at the age of like 40 lol.. A far cry from 2010 free agency...

To be fair that was my assessment when GarPax were in charge.

So LeBron is finishing his career in Australia? Whoa.

The Sydney Kings will sign anybody at any age...

The real problem is that LBJ won't have the gravity likely at that age to force a signing if Bronny is subpar. I feel bad for Bronny in that sense that his father is putting that type of pressure on him honestly. I get that LeBron was able to handle the scrutiny at that age, but he was also much better than Bronny is.

So, thinking about guys we could try to use our 2 picks + filler on draft night for and one guy I came to mind that we haven't discussed much. I'm not sure it's possible timing-wise or $$-wise, but what about our 1st plus POR's 1st plus Vuc for Ayton in a S&T?

It’s not really possible to involve our pick in a S&T since a trade like that can’t happen until free agency begins. I also don’t think we could avoid the tax in that scenario…and the Bulls aren’t paying the tax.

Just in general, the Bulls have more than enough offense with Lavine, Derozan, Vucevic and White.

What the team is missing is what Pat is supposed to be. An off ball shooter / cutter who can defend and rebound at a high level.

Outside of that, if you want to improve the Bulls you have to trade Lavine, Derozan or Vucevic for a player better than them. Just adding another high level on ball scorer would be difficult to afford and incredibly redundant.

That is the question. I could see them paying the tax for next season. After that Vuc's contract expires and we will have a little flexibility.

I think they will pay the tax-the cap is set to jump soon and we are a top team

I suggested Vuc/White/Rights to our pick/Port 1st for Ayton

I could see Bron force his way to Cleveland this offseason. They have the pieces to make it happen. He plays there a few more years, Bronny joins him for a year, then he retires. Cleveland has a better supporting cast than he has in LA, the Lakers are a mess. We haven’t seen the last of Lebron in our division. It makes most sense for him to end his career in Cleveland, especially now that they’ve built a contender.

Some sort of package built around Sexton with Levert/Osman/picks included.

As constructed, I feel like we have the offensive power to win a championship. We're lacking interior defense, rebounding, toughness, and some more experience.

We're so close.

I think we are almost too deep (or too shallow depending on how you look at it).

When healthy, it is an amazing regular season roster with the guard depth vs style of play.

Come play-off time, what is the 8 or even 9 man rotation (assuming a healthy team)?

Caruso, Ball, Lavine, DD, and Vuc are going to take 5 spots. Ayo? White? TT? Green?, and DDJ? That would be 10. Can we go that deep? What about P-Will?

I do agree, we are close.
Man, I wish we could have moved TBJ and P-Will for Kuzma.

Bronny isn't even good enough to be drafted. So I'd love to know what team would? Maybe China since LeBron loves that country so much.

I'm sure that LBJ is making himself the carrot for some team to draft his son.

Crazy. You're basically guaranteed a championship for doing it though, so it's 100% worth it.

LeBron on the Bulls is about the only thing that could force me to give my fandom a break for a while. Blech.

Pelicans left Zion off their letter to season ticket holders for next year.

CJ hasn't talked to him and admitted that.

Seems like a break is inevitable. Do the Bulls make an offer? I'd imagine Zion, like Simmons, has a very large range trade value. Can the Bulls be competitive? Zion's talent is out of this world, but the injuries and weight are pretty large red flags.

Is Pat/Coby/Portland 1st/Bulls 2022 drafted rookie even a competitive offer? Is it insulting? I have no idea, but am fascinated at what Zion's value would be if it had to be nailed down by the NBA.

He's also due for a contract extension at the end of next year, so he'll get a max if he shows any kind of on court consistency. I'd do the above trade in a nano second, but can understand if others are hesitant.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

IDK, Zion gives me Oden vibes. Let NY make that mistake.

I wonder if Zion wouldn't have gained all that weight if Zach didn't introduce him to Mountain Dew? That stuff is all sugar.

not interested in paying the price for Zion. Guy is having red flags as big. I don't think the Bulls are in the state at a gamble like that. Same situation 2 years ago and I'd be all for it.
