New York ending vaccine mandate, Kyrie will be eligible to play

I don't know if this is allowed to be posted here but thought I'd share.

This thread can stay open if people want to talk basketball. Kyrie, The Nets etc. If it turns into a covid debate, it's getting locked fast.

As of today its still in place, they are ending it in a few weeks.

Translation: There was no way the NBA would not have Kyrie playing in the playoffs.

I assume that means the current rules remain in place at the moment. Basically this isnt a change that is happening over night at the moment.

Edit: OP beat me to the punch haha.

Right when Silver spoke out on the mandate, I had a feeling it would be overturned.

Its going to be fun to see Brooklyn at full strength for every game in the playoffs. From a basketball fan standpoint, this is fantastic.

I'm fully vaccinated and have the booster yet I was one of the few from the very jump who said that Brooklyn should just let Kyrie play road games instead of suspending him. Then they just looked stupid crawling back. Imagine if they never let him back. Were they just going to wait for 65 games to past and be like ok, you can play now Kyrie since the mandate is lifted. They just caused a divide, ran Harden and KD into the ground, ruined the vibe of the team, all to be fake dictators. Now when Kyrie is cheered they will look even more stupid. I think Kyrie leaves because of the way they handled it

Nothing to do with Kyrie, mandates are being lifted all over the world, with countries already classifying it as endemic, Kyrie will play in the PO, but his extension is still a huge question mark, the infrastructure is already in place in many cities for future mandates, if I was a team owner in west coast, Canada or north eastern team, I'd steer clear from handing big money to vaccine hesitant players.

i cant help but think this will help with kyrie's ability to make it through a whole postseason without being totally worn down for once. hes always not playing or limping in april, which seriously sucks.

Like i remember some crazy stat about how the clippers played every other night for some ungodly consecutive amount of weeks in a row going into the playoffs, then kawhi going down with a minimal contact injury, and then ibaka going out with the wear and tear back injury, and now pg, it feels like the players are really experiencing the effects of the last 2 years of craziness with their schedules and lack of sleep.

Pretty simple. Midterms are coming up.

70% of NYC residents support the indoor vaccination requirement.
