I really like this ballpark although it looks similar to the Phillies.
Also nice to see it's right in the center of the capital.
And anything is better than junky RFK.

This is supposedly going to bring in a **** of revenue for the team. Hopefully they start spending next offseason.

I really like the pink trees in right field because that is a symbol of Washington D.C.

yeah, the cherry trees were a great idea. i like the new design better than the original one that was released in march 06, when everything was way too angular.

It's been documented that revenue boosts generated by new stadiums are short-lived unless the team can field a solid team and put up wins at an acceptable rate. The plans look nice, and there is time yet for the organization to continue to improve itself.

The stadium will bring in great revenue as long as this team can continue to bring in good young players, draft and scout well, and dip into free agency with a smart plan of not overpaying and getting players at a small cost/high reward...
We have 5 of the first 70 picks in this years draft and most certainly will have a top pick in next years draft. We've already shown a commitment to scouting hardcore in the Dominican and Venezuela. There could be some more moves this year as Chad Cordero is most likely going to be moved to a contending team in need of a closer and could garner some more good prospects. This team can spend some more money this offseason to obtain a good young player or two as we bring along our prospects who right now are in low A ball...

Should be interesting to see this thing unfold...

Yeah, I'm starting to get more into baseball now. The Nats are horrible right now but I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the process of basically building a ball team from the ground up.

2009 is the big offseason for baseball, so they could probably bring in a couple of players this offseason and then go full throttle next offseason.

I do have to say that for the "new" ballparks that are going up around the country, this has to be the best lookin by far! If whoever designed the stadium happens to be on RealGM, well done fellas... well done.

in the first two weeks it is open- im sure a lot will show up. But if they lose alot, attendence will decrease. Add in raised ticket prices and fans may lose interest. Nothing beats buying 5 dollar tickets at RFK and moving around to different sections and getting closer to the action.

The premium tickets haven't sold very well because they are ridiculously overpriced. Put the tickets up at a decent price, then increase them as the team becomes more successful.
