Out coached our out-talented?? Nets are literally missing 4 of the best players, while the Celtics are healthy. It would be a major upset if the Nets lost this game by less than 10 pts..

I'm a big Nash detractor but he hasn't even been bad this game. He went to a zone for like the first time in forever and it actually slowed down the Celtics crazy 3pth shooting. WHat more you want??

That 2-3 zone D is why we down. Can't leave open players wide open. Especially if they on a high horse knowing we down to role players.

You probably right though. I'm asking him to be good to elite coach, we know better he ain't that.

You right though

??? Actually the opposite. Nets went to a zone after a timeout when the lead went to 20+ and then cut the lead to 12... The Celtics were getting open 3's from dribble penetration and semi-transition, so the zone can help with that. Celtics were also hitting far above their %, even when contested.

The big problem is the Nets offense. Nets are having a hard time getting easy looks and when they do Mills, James Johnson, Cam etc are ICE COLD. The constant missing just fuels the Celtics offense and they are getting tons of good looks from pushing the pace off misses. Nets can't fully set up defense since they are missing so much.

Even if the Nets had Nick Nurse, the result would be the same. Celtics have been the best team in the NBA for over a month now. What would you do differently from Nash this game??

Agree to disagree here. Same crap as happening right now. We falling into drop coverage that leads to wide open there's. Can't even call it zone, not sure wtf it is. Just like in football, soft D when you drop back and react.

Have to play drop with Drummond. He can't switch plus Curry and Mills are rough to switch with. Lack. of. options.

Why does James Johnson have 12 shot attempts lol? Dude just keeps taking these crazy shots lol. I kind of get some of them, they've been like late in the clock and he's had to shoot, but some of them are just him freestyling lol.

Can we be honest about Cam Thomas too? He's essentially Marshon Brooks.

Can't do it tonight guys.

We literally never compete against good teams.

Steve Trash again proving why hes the worst coach in the NBA.

Not saying we should win. But getting blown out constantly just sucks.

The KD-Kyrie Nets have been one of the least fun teams to root for ever.

Its just a hypothetical team. We literally never see them. Now you can add Simmons to the mix.

All weve seen for months is a horrible coach and a bunch of over extended role players.

Exactly, he took se crazy shots at will. That wild sequence during turnover fest when he went one vs three to miss lay up. I mean c'mon man, you bet, you should know better.

This is a loss here due to talent drop. It's just I can't stomach this indiscipline plays.

The mandate won't be repealed for a few weeks at least. KD probably at least a week away.

Simmons seems like hes 2 weeks away.

Looks like were stuck with this G League team for a while. What a disaster.

Winning a title is looking more and more like a pipe dream. Will have maybe 10 games of KD-Kyrie-Simmons and then have to win play in games.

This franchise is cursed.

Maybe Nash is playing Johnson so much so Marks can cut him. He's an OK energy guy - someone you bring in if you're down 20 and want to change the pace. Outside of that, his offense is a zero. His defense is terrible and full of fouls and blown assignments. His passing is reckless. He's getting more minutes on a "championship" team than he ever did on lottery teams.

Someone has to explain the obsession with him. We kept him over Bembry.

I wasn't expecting anything tonight but after the game we'll be at 2-13 in our last 15. With 1 win being a miracle comeback where we were down 28. In that span we have 10 double digit losses and 5 losses by 20+.

The sad part is the guys outside of Harden have been playing hard. It's just terrible coaching and terrible roster construction. We can't afford another year like this. I'd fire Nash and Marks if we don't win the chip this year.

Marks did a great job setting the culture and bringing the stars. He hasn't shown the ability to make a championship roster. Last year defense was a glaring weakness. This year our shooting has been terrible n we have 5 centers. We can make all the excuses we want but he can't put together a balanced roster.

Didnot expect a W. It's a wrap vs the BUCKs who we are playing next.

I am concerned that KD will be playing 40 mins a game once he's back.

Out of the three coaches Udoka, Mike D'antoni and Nash, we picked the worst one thanks to Marks.

Crazy how we are BY FAR the worst team in the entire NBA.

I mean we literally get blown out by everyone. And its been happening for months.

People don't realize how terrible we are. And its not turning around anytime soon.

Even the worst team in the league would start making moves after a stretch like this.

Nash in the post game said the ONLY thing we need to improve is health.

Whoa, that's a hell of a lot of expectations for a rookie GM who for the most part has performed miracles since he got here.

Nash has been a bad mistake, but every GM makes bad mistakes from time to time. Also, for anyone to be expecting (borderline assuming) a championship is just... well, that's pretty much a guaranteed way of being a miserable sports fan, tell you hwat.

I don't know why so many people do that to themselves. Even for dynasties and semi-dynasties, it doesn't take much for things to go wrong in any given season.

Yeah, I'm a big believer in advanced predictive statistics. It helps counterweight the eye test sometimes, and models across the board have not liked Killa Cam. I compared him to Willie Green before the draft, and although he's had some big moments, his overall trajectory is proving me correct so far.

His defense is soooooooooo garbage, and it doesn't look like anyone gets in his grill about it. Like, you cannot poop the bed and render useless everyone else's defense, it makes an entire squad not want to give multiple efforts when they're on the floor with you. Why close out on your man, a fellow Net might say, when you know they'll just pass to Cam's guy for a wide open shot?

I know he's not a defender, but you can be bad, but still do things to not be a complete sieve.

Also, his offensive efficiency is trending up ever so slightly, but not nearly enough for my taste. When his J goes in, it looks pretty. But too many times, he bricks contested looks. He has been a more willing passer, but he's got to improve here as well.

If his confidence is as bulletproof as folks say, somebody has to tell this young fella he's killing us. One of the stars needs to just torch him every trip down the court in practice, lock him up on the other end, and make him not want to enter TSS until he improves his level of play.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Man... Another game, another blowout. This team just keeps finding new ways (and old) of extinguishing whatever embers of hope may have been kindled by a distant, faint & flickering light at the end of the RS tunnel.

Mills being Potty more often than not should be a clear sign for Nash to dial back his minutes & workload... He should be allowed to revert to the role he was most comfortable & effective in -- coming off the bench as an under-the-radar, opportunistic sniper.

Despite starting Mills & sCurry together, we still almost always fall behind quickly from cold shooting and poor perimeter defense. If they're gonna suck when together anyway, then just preserve Mills and let him spell Seth off the bench and live with the shooting/spacing woes until the big guns can finally play.

No matter how many games we get torched from beyond the arc, players continue with their bad habits of ball-watching, drifting into the paint and leaving their man with all the time & space to leisurely shoot 3s like it was practice.

Dre on the other hand really needs to get in shape quickly... Anything approaching 20 mins PT and he's already gassed.

And the inevitability of the James Johnson showcase continues. I just can't... :noway:

Now if only we still had Jevon Carter... :nonono:

It's crazy how rabid some folks on here are to throw Cam under the bus. Yall act like he's not in his rookie season.
