I admit, I just don't like teal the color. It's nothing about the symbolism/representation of an era or anything like that.

If they don't they may look to something else. There is certainly some teal nostalgia for me as its when I really got into being a Pistons fans in those Hunter, Stackhouse, Hill, Ratliff, Terry Mills days. That said, I prefer the classic red/white/blue but I don't think it will be a big deal to see these for 5 or 6 games next season.
I could be wrong, but I would suspect that most people who like teal fall into that same camp of people who started following the team during that era. If that is how you were introduced (or became invested), it makes sense you would have an emotional attachment. In the grand scheme of things that was only a 4 or 5 year window. The rest of us know better.
My first real memories of Pistons basketball are the 1996-97 season, when they went 54-28 under Doug Collins (different era when that record was good for only the 5 seed in the East). Yet I'll admit I feel no particular connection to the teal look. I don't outright hate it, but I definitely feel like it doesn't belong to the Pistons. I associate the current look with the Goin' To Work era and feel a stronger connection there.
From everything I've seen, the most vociferous group that wants the teal jerseys are Gen Z guys who might not have even been alive yet when they were originally used.

Interesting. Although each generation does tend to recycle fashion, so I guess that makes some level of sense. But some things, like low-rise jeans, should probably stay in the past.JNewton wrote:From everything I've seen, the most vociferous group that wants the teal jerseys are Gen Z guys who might not have even been alive yet when they were originally used.

Rather just switch to this, if anything. Was never a fan of the teal/black era unis.
The horse and exhausts should be on the main jerseys
This guy has the best design, imo.

Neither do vertical ones, see the horrific "Motor City" jerseys from a few years ago.

The black/gray Raiders tribute version of this was even worse.
Let's just the leave the classic home and road jerseys alone. No need to fix what isn't broken.

Just don't put stripes down the middle. Leave them on the sides where they belong.
