Re: Friday 2/25 Game Thread
This is the kind of amazing combo I wanted to see. Not sure we've ever seen this kind of foul rate duo in Embiid and Harden.
The fact that it was barely under 8 minutes in the first quarter and the 76ers were already in bonus was tremendous.
I legit think this is going to be a huge factor in the playoffs. Normally you play very short rotations in the playoffs and that hides benches. But when you face the 76ers you have to sit players that are in foul trouble... they can be playing backups regularly. Really interesting theoryball happening here.
I also love their starting lineup.

Re: Friday 2/25 Game Thread
The Hornets have these games where they go god mode on offense.
Inconsistent as hell though.

I've seen enough. I might not like it but this Sixers teams should be a title favorite

The Raptors are just an average team, that’s all it is. If they do make the playoffs they’re getting either swept or losing in 5.

Timberwolves announcers talking about how last night on Inside the NBA Shaq said The Timberwolves are a year and a half away from being great.
The Timberwolves have been a year and a half away from being great for the last 5 years....lol.

I think it'd be nearly flawless if they had a tough 3&D wing there in place of Harris. Like a Saddiq Bey or a Jae Crowder, even a PJ Tucker.
Maxey
Harden
Thybulle
()
Embiid
with - Niang and Green off the bench as two more snipers. Could use some more bench quality however.
Korkmaz, Milton, WCS, Joe and Reed just run way too hot/cold.

Give the Raptors and Nick Nurse credit, the Raptors play hard every night. But you're right, once the really good teams get serious down the stretch and start to match the Raptors effort, the Raptors will fade a bit.
BTW not saying the Hornets are one of the really good teams. Just making a point.

Re: Friday 2/25 Game Thread
The Wolves aren't good so it's hard to draw many conclusions from the Sixers games other than that Harden really mailed it in for the Nets this year... He got his numbers but boy was he listless out there and a non-factor (dare I say a negative) in almost every close game.
