Re: Highest paid player that will not end up in the Hall of Fame
Looks like it will be Wall, although it depends on Tobias' next contract. I don't think Wall gets another big one.
John Wall: $280M (1 year remaining) + 15% trade kicker
Blake Griffin: $226M
Beal: $216M (1 year remaining)
Wiggins: $171M (1 year remaining)
CJ: $215 (2 years remaining)
Tobias Harris: $251M (2 years remaining)
Horford: $269m (1 year remaining)
Another possibility based on his next contract,
Gordon Hayward $270M (2 years remaining)
John Wall: $280M (1 year remaining) + 15% trade kicker
Blake Griffin: $226M
Beal: $216M (1 year remaining)
Wiggins: $171M (1 year remaining)
CJ: $215 (2 years remaining)
Tobias Harris: $251M (2 years remaining)
Horford: $269m (1 year remaining)
Another possibility based on his next contract,
Gordon Hayward $270M (2 years remaining)

Supermax guys like Blake Griffin and John Wall. Other guys who got regular max deals include Deron Williams, Mike Conley, Gilbert Arenas, Al Horford, Tobias Harris, etc.

Looking at their ages, Tobias will be only 32 at the end of his contract.
If he can stay healthy, maybe he can still get a 3/45, 4/50 deal. A HOF career is very unlikely even with an NBA championship.
Wiggins will only be 28. A 5 year deal worth 120,130+ is very much a possibility. He can also still add to his resume (Canada? NBA championship? more All-Star selections?)
Hayward will be 34. I don't think he will get another contract worth 20M+.

Wall will be at $280M at the end of his contract next season.
He also doesn't have a National Team career to bolster his case. Not much from College either.
How will he sleep at night.
I'm kidding, first person i thought of too.

My first thought was someone like Rashard Lewis, obviously alot of guys here top that though, I wonder how it would go adjusted for inflation, or vs salary caps at the time
