So exciting
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

They like to call themselves Masai World Order now  as if the pro tank fans are against Masai who said “play in for what” last year himself

Except the pro tank fans were incessantly arguing that "play in for what" meant this year as well, not just last year. It was the go to argument for the past six months. But then Masai literally went on air and shot that down, explaining that it was due to the circumstances of being in Tampa and health and safety protocol/resting players down the stretch. So not sure where you're going with this.

Suggs had close to the worst game of the season by any player.

20% FG
6 turnovers
6 fouls
15 minutes
-21 (his team won by 8)

I'd estimate we had 4 of these games so far this season? Maybe 5. Thats pretty much right for a tean with our record.

I do my best to make every Raptors game.

I watch every game and post in this thread aside from when the game was during a 49ers playoff game

Don’t get it twisted. You live for this!

Overreactions after a loss on here are a true spectacle.

At least he had a nice highlight dunk  The audacity of doing that in a close game while performing that badly lmao

Watching Senior brick up that obvious 3 only to get blocked while we were down 25 or whatever it was, was just the icing on the cake. I just burst into roaring laughter.

What a clown.

My takeaway from this game:

We've seen enough kf this season to know that any game without 1 of our current core 4 (fvv, pascal, trent, OG) has the potential for disaster.

We can afford absence from scotty because he's not really contributing to actual winning yet in a significant way.

When trent or fred is out....we are vulnerable to the zone. When OG is out, our defense is vulnerable. When pascal is out, our halfcourt offense is hit or miss.

We basically can't be missing any 4 of those cogs and expect to compete effectively. Part of this is because we don't have a bench. Part of it is because none of the core 4 are good enough to consistently overcome shortages in other areas. (Ie none of them are superstar players)

well what did you expect? The dude has nothing in his offensive tool kit other than launching threes.

Waste of an all-star spot when people are there to watch athletes. MLSE backed the wrong horse when they put all the promotion budget on him instead of siakam.

8 game win streak you mean. Don't get soft on me Denny.

Right. We are what? 9 and 2 in our last 11? Maybe 9 and 3 in last 12?

Something like that. But the haters will post a million times tonight because they live for this.

They will disappear by tomorrow night. The only player on the roster they actually care about put up stats despite being constantly late on all his defensive rotations, but you know, stats. And we lost in a blowout. They are on cloud nine. Let them celebrate. The president literally disavowed what they were trying to praise as the "truth" all season, they are grasping at whatever is left and trying to milk whatever they can. Even if it's one blowout loss. String a couple wins together and they will fall back onto their "starters will break down before playoffs" narrative.

Someone needs to get that man some APL Concept X kicks. Will increase his vertical by over 3 inches. Might not get blocked then.

My 2cents.

The team got out of rhythm and forgot what was working for them during our good stretch. We have a lot of freedom on offense, so once we fall out of our groove, we've got to find it again. OG being out hurts and throws off chemistry. But Siakam as our primary playmaker was working really well. I'd like to see us get back to playing off him again. I would love for Scottie to be that guy, but I'm not sure he's ready for it yet.

Fred looks hurt...not super sharp these last few games...I'd like to see him get healthy. There is a lot of pressure for him to play since we haven't really established a backup. It should be Flynn, but I'm not holding my breath. Sometimes you just need a regular guard who can do pg things...even if they're small.

Birch didn't have a great game either, his defense especially hurt us.

Siakam looked rusty and less assertive...because he's a late comer to the game, he doesn't ease back in quite as readily as players who've been playing their whole lives. It'll probably take a few games for him to get back up to speed.

Barnes looked pretty solid aside from some bad passes. When his legs get burnt out, you can see how much he labours out there. Tonight he looked liked rejuvenated. Hopefully his stamina will continue to build year in and year out.

It looked like one of those games where the bounces just didn't go our way. But we also looked less motivated for the game compared to Charlotte who already lost to us twice. We're not a good enough team to just show up and expect to win. I'd like to see Nurse trust the bench guys more in games like these. They're hungrier and sometime energy and tenacity is enough. Lots of minutes for guys like Flynn, Banton, Champagnie and possibly Yuta would have been a good adjustment when the game started to get out of hand in the first half...especially in light of Fred being banged up and Birch not giving you much.

TLDR; First game back, we're out of rhythm. OG's injury hurts us, but we'll get better.
