Everyone and their mother knows thibs loves defense, why did they add kemba (fournier) in the first place?? Like are they blind????

That's what happens when GM and coach aren't on the same page. I think we experienced that too during Brad's tenure as coach.

yeah, you need to try and be in line with what your coach wants at all times, he has to play the players you give him. they want the coach to change after hiring them because of what they bring and who they are. they knew thibs, they needed to add players accordingly!

Which, despite me hating it, makes Brad trading 1st round picks away make sense since Ime is a player coach who will always play vets over developing young talent if given the option. So at least they’re on the same page unlike Danny and Brad

Damn, Bron has had so many and is trash! Force him to shoot the 3! Some of those makes hurt someone's soul, I don't remember it against us, so I'm not scarred. Ray destroyed us and relationships, screw him!

Surprised by Vince Carter...super highly rated if he took the three, but not on the two.
I mean, he wasnt a bad shooter, but I wouldn't have picked that.

VC would have been getting hammered on the 2pointers I would have to assume.

I wish this team had a prime Vince as to run with the jays.

for me, Vince was one of the most fun NBA guys to watch, and I think pretty easily a top 25 in that area. The dunks, the very good shooting...fun to watch.

Vince was amazing to watch, but he just never seemed happy. I never would have expected him to be the star who seamlessly transitioned to role player in the way he did, but I gained a LOT of respect for him because of it.

Careful. Pierce's numbers weren't much better.

Obviously, a lot of this depends on whose job it is to take desperation heaves.

By the way -- the only guy on that list I saw with a 50% mark from 2-pt range was Steph. Rudy Gay was the next-closest, perhaps followed by Melo.

Durant and Westbrook have identical overall numbers, and Westbrook is worse from 3, so Durant is worse than Westbrook from 2.

Bill Simmons says Embiid wanted Beal in Philly, not Harden.

Joel Embiid was pushing the Philadelphia 76ers to trade for Bradley Beal ahead of their deal for James Harden, according to sources that spoke with Bill Simmons.

"This is what I heard," said Simmons on his podcast. "I've had pretty good intel throughout this whole thing. This is what I was hearing in the moment. That Embiid really wanted Bradley Beal and was pushing really hard for it. And was talking to him all the time. And was pushing, pushing, pushing. And part of the reason the trade stuff took so long was because there was this Sixers' side that wanted Harden. Obviously Daryl [Morey], because Harden is his guy. But Embiid really wanted Beal because he felt like he was a better fit. And was pushing, pushing, pushing.

"Then Beal gets hurt. But then Embiid is still pushing. 'No, no, no, Beal, Beal, Beal.' Still working on him. And then Beal's like, 'I'm out.' And he gets surgery. And then that's how we end up with the Harden situation."

I hear you, but PP isn't near the top 50 of all time... LBJ is supposed to be top 2 and he believes it's not 2, that's ugly ugly. Actually, LBJ maybe had it right to begin his career, make the right play instead of taking the tough/trash shot. People were in his ass about passing up the shots, but maybe he knows the game better than what everyone's ego tells them to do.

I'm still not giving him his roses til he's outta the league. :o

The time I participated in the RealGM Top 100 project, we picked Pierce somewhere in the 30s.

I don't know if I buy it but I'd never go through enough people to figure it out lol. I know old guys get bounced out because of the times they played in but it's not really fair. I love PP anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Initially I was going to post in and bump the appreciation thread, but, I think it's past its time to discuss the trade until the off-season.
FYI it's the tail end of the :15 clip.

Admittedly I will be rather interested in how Richardson and Langford play under Pops (assuming both don't get shelved). Each were on the injured report and not playing tonight. <insert Romeo injury joke here>

Hornets with the beat down on the raps give us a lil breathing room.

I saw that Char put it to the Raps. Very nice. Now I'm watching the Knicks and Heat. Just a though. Julius Randall is a real talented player, but his BBIQ has got to be one of the worst in the league. Just plain stupid decisions.

BTW Schroder -19 tonight, lowest on the team. Much depends on whether he is helping them with Green's development or not. Also curious how things are with Porter and his past alleged attitudinal issues.
