Top contenders in the west is PG lead.
GSW-Curry. Suns-CP3. Grizzlies-Ja.

Thybulle is at his best defending PGs. Thybulle can defend Pgs then be an elite transition player by leaking out.

Well yeah. Let’s worry about coming out of the east first before we worry about the opponent in the finals. One step at a time. Lol

When Harden is driven while Thybulle stays at the dunker spot, can you throw lobs for Thybulle to get easy 2?

If Harden’s shot isn’t going in, he will keep driving to the rim. You can’t play Thybulle if Harden’s shot isn’t going in.

If Thybulle is a lot threat, Harden can just lob it to Thybulle if Thybulle’s man comes to help off him.

If Harden’s shot is going in, he commands great gravity pull to the perimeter. Teams will try to trap him above the three pt line, similar to the Wolves and Knicks games. It opens the lane for backdoor plays for Thybulle.

With this view, a lob threat is also a floor spacer.

Does anybody know where to find Tisse stats on scoring and shooting before and after Harden trade? And exclude games where Harden rested.

I’m really curious about it. Tisse has been so good with Harden.

pbpstats is the best I've found for specialized stats that is free and doesn't require setting up an account.

Your post made me curious so I looked it up myself. They've been on the court together 277 minutes so far and during that time Thybulle is averaging 12.5 points per 36, shooting 65% on twos (26/40) and 46% on threes (11/24).

Thank you for that find!

I knew I was right. Harden is so damn good. He talks about making other players better and he delivers.

I give credit (no, I’m not Brett Brown) to Doc and Tisse thought.

Great to see Tisse actually belonging in the offense.

Our team defense is so shaky at the moment, that we really should think about extended minutes with Tisse at the top of a zone.

And that's combined with being a complete nothing offensively.

Our worst lineups impact wise last season usually featured either him or Dwight or the both of them together. He's a perfect sell high asset for me. Him getting to even average league wide offensively seems like enough of a journey for him with his current trajectory.

Still echo'ing this sentiment. He cannot be a starter on a championship team. He's probably our most valuable asset right now after trading for Harden and his value has to be maximized this summer.

Agree, and his value will never be higher. Hoping he can be paired with Harris to bring back some helpful pieces. That Dallas trade that has been tossed around here would be perfect. Utah is another possibility.

He would need to be traded before extending his contract.

That contract is a guarantee problem in the future for whoever team that get on it

It’s just so hard to match Tobias’ crazy inflated salary and not get trash back.

The hope is that some GM out there shares the inflated opinion that the national media has of Tobias.

Ideal player to replace Matisse Thybulle this summer at the 3?

His time in Philadelphia is probably up soon and young all-NBA caliber defenders like him carry a hefty price tag. I could see a number of teams coveting his services -> Atlanta, Denver, Portland, Brooklyn.

It would probably be the perfect time to sell high on him. The allure was him taking his defensive destructiveness and attaching a 3-ball but it's looking less and less likely as the years pass by, also we're doing just fine with 51 year old Mr 3 Rangz starting in place of him and we usually close games with either Niang or Green anyways because floor spacing is just that essential.

KCP? Hart? Otto Porter?

Another player / position?

Josh Hart would be almost too good to be true.

No doubt Thybulle should be moved right now, his value will never be higher and he's due to be paid. Let someone else pay for a one-way player, even if that one way is elite.

Hart is way too good for us to realistically get. I think a vet like KCP, Reggie Bullock, etc are more likely to happen. Royce O’Neal is someone I’d be interested in if Utah blows their team up this offseason.

Or we trade him for a lesser known guy + a pick to a team trying to make a playoff run. Maybe like Cody Martin or Jalen McDaniels on the Hornets who need a defender if they’re gonna be a playoff team. Tisse playing next to LaMelo would be fun too.

I’m pretty down on his value so don’t know what the market would look like for him.

Is everyone back on board with Tobi?

There's a Tobi, Tisse, Furk for John Collins, Jalen Johnson, and Gallinari opportunity.

I see Collins as a bad contract, so it depends on the eye of the beholder, I suppose.

If we could somehow send Thybulle & something else to Washington for Beal I’d be happy. Do not want to give up Tobi he is clicking with James now.
