DeAndre Jordan plans to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers unless he is claimed on waivers.
The Los Angeles Lakers waived Jordan on Tuesday.
The 76ers have an open roster spot and a need at backup center following their trade of Andre Drummond to the Brooklyn Nets as part of the James Harden deal.
Jordan signed a four-year, $40 million deal with the Nets in 2019 and was subsequently traded and bought out during the 2021 offseason.
