Re: 2021-22 NBA Rookie Thread (part 5)
So many damn potential star wings in this draft. Cade, Barnes, and Green all really coming on strong the last few weeks.
Also Green is showing why you don't write off rookies after like 20 games just because they look lost. This kid is so far from a finished product. Imagine 2-3 more seasons of putting on muscle and polishing his game in the off season.

Don't forget Franz.

Cade and Barnes both looked great tonight. Fun showdown between the two.
Scottie: 21 points/10 rebounds/ 2assists/ 1steal/ 1block [7/13FG | 1/3 3pt]
Cade: 22 points/ 12 rebounds/ 5 assists/ 2steal/ 1block [9/20FG | 4/9 3pt]
Scottie vs. Suggs/Wagner tomorrow night. Then Scottie vs. Mobley Sunday.

I think we can all agree that this rookie class is downright amazing so far. I tire of the "well my teams rookie is...blah blah blah".
Just an outstanding class so far, and a joy to watch. So many potential all-stars.

im writing off bc im playing the odds. theres no way all top 4 becomes all stars this isnt 2003.
green always flashed potential its just i am not into guys that struggle early bc they are more likely have lack of understanding of the game. i was wrong on edwards but like i said i dont have any problem being wrong with these high risk prospects.
archetypes like green/edwards i would always trade the pick and get an actual all star in his prime if im the gm.
green i thought he had goat athleticism but the way kareem left the dunk contest, hes even lower than my projection.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Jalen Green's play has been pretty normal for a rookie wing. Decent raw stats (15/3/2) on subpar efficiency, with some flashes of brilliance mixed in with a lot of inconsistency.
To me "struggle early" is a guy like Kilian Hayes.

Franz is capable of being the lead ball-handler, they just haven't asked him to do it full time.

Anthony Edwards in his first 47 career games:
17/4/3
39/31/77
Jalen Green in his first 47 career games:
15/3/2
40/31/81
Even though he was only 4th on my pre draft big board, I had him as a future multiple time Allstar and I see no reason why everyone is so down on him. He has a lot of talent. I prefer looking at the player than playing the odds. He is putting up 18/3/3 on good efficiency over his last 12 games and could very well go on a late season run here like Ant.
But the perception seems to be Green is a bust and Ant a future superstar or even face of the league, lol.
