And - the league is fine with the internal investigation.

Goodell is asking for a visit to a Congressional hearing.

Who is this guy? It's a troll account? Right? Serious question. Based on some of his tweets.

Yea I looked at a few of his tweets after I posted that. Looks like a troll account.

Probably the least surprising news of the off season. They weren’t going into next season with that contract and the trade market wasn’t there. He’ll get paid. Somewhere.

I would prefer that they trade him but that might be hard with the amount he’s scheduled to make next season. Cutting him saves the team $16M. That would allow them to resign Gallup. I also think they bring back Schultz and Cedrick Wilson.

Don’t have much choice with Schultz… they almost HAVE to franchise him at this point. Either that or go into next season without a proven TE. That wouldn’t be useful.

This makes sense. Terrance Steele is ready to be the full time starter and there actually is a market for Collins. I don’t expect much more than a 4th or 5th round pick but with the cap situation they are in they need cheap young help so they need to stock up on picks. That’s why I’m hoping they can still find a way to trade Cooper instead of just cutting him.

I still kinda wish they would move Collins back to LG. Steele has been more than solid at RT and Collins was a dude when he started at LG his rookie year. But I also don’t have a problem moving him. He’s not getting younger and neither are the others in this line.

I think there’s still a chance they will if they aren’t able to trade him. Cutting him would only save them about $1M so even if it’s just for depth or to move Collins to LG it wouldn’t make much sense to cut him.

Is there a chance they actually keep Cooper?

It appears the trade market might be heating up for Cooper and Collins. Sounds like both Browns and Patriots really want Cooper.

Better than just letting him walk for nothing. Cap relief and an extra pick is just fine.

Now take that 5th round pick and turn it into a better starting LG or Center.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
