A little bit of everything. An important block, steals, penetration, 3's, assists, rebounds.

I love Barnes, Mobley and Wagner, they're all amazing players, I just think Cade has been a little bit better, everything being factored.

For a rookie to be doing what he has been doing, with the way other teams have been trying to handle him is insane.

Honestly there were injuries etc... but I had more hope for Suggs as a rookie. Mobley is who I thought he would be. Biggest surprise to me is Ayo because I didn't expect much and he played great but he is no ROY. Cade started hurt and is getting better kinda like ANT last year got better and better. Barnes man Barnes is been a great pick. Wagner totally has impressed too. One fun draft class for sure. Living up to the hype so far IMHO

Oh and I still love Jalen Green even though he hasn't been great I love his annoying swagger. Sengun, Giddy so many fun players this year.

Say what you will about Mobley's defense, which has been good tonight. But at the other end, he has been god awful. Very avoidable turnovers, seems to stumble around every time he touches the ball, has missed two point blank shots near the rim. Again, his defense is going to keep him in contention and will always help the Cavaliers, but he has to be better on that end. There's no excuse for him to be struggling against Tobias Harris of all people.

Cade up to about 21/8/5 post all star break, looking really damn good and making some big plays in key moments. His efficiency still leaves a lot to be desired, but this kid just has "it". The way he weaves through tight spaces, uses change of pace dribbles, uses his body to shield the ball, and seemingly gets to wherever he wants on the court despite only being average athletically. Looking like he's gonna finish the season putting up 17/6/5 or so and could end up stealing RoY.

We could also see another co-rookie of the year.

Would be fitting as the last time the Pistons had a rookie of the year, it was Grant Hill and Jason Kidd.

Bad game by Barnes against Magic. Both Wagner and Suggs outplayed him.

You know, I was thinking about this very exact thing as I was reading this thread.

For the record, I still voted for Mobley in the poll, but I'm getting this feeling that Cade is surging lately and will somehow end up getting the ROY award.

Anyway, such a pleasant rookie class... hard to dislike wherever the award may go.

i think with every passing game cade is showing that he's contributing the most to his team out of all the rookies. plays like this, this or this show that he can go out there and create his own quality looks. that's on top of running the offense and making plays for other guys.

cade this season is assisted on only 22.1% of his 2-point field goals. that's one of the lowest in the league and comparable to derozan (20.4%) or FVV (21.1%), with only players like harden, luka, SGA and trae young creating more of their own offense inside the arc. heck, even the 2021 ROY lamelo ball isn't creating as many of his own looks in his second season (neither is anthony edwards).

i'm pretty sure most people wrote their ballots in november so mobley will likely win but cade has had a phenomenal rookie season and i know a lot of pistons fans are excited for where he can take this team.

You're always hating on Barnes for no reason...

All 3 were pretty bad tonight.

Wagner 5/14 from the field.
Suggs 4/16 from the field.
Barnes 4/15 from the field.

I don't know how you can possibly say one outplayed the other.

Barnes hasn't had this bad of a shooting night in a very long time. Whole Raptors team looked like complete garbage tonight (and yesterday).

Seems like Jalen Green was the only one who played good tonight.

Continuing his stretch of good games. 18-7-5 and only one turnover on 7/14

Andrew Jones Tweet

"According to Second Spectrum tracking data, the Jazz shot 0-for-10 with Herb Jones as the closest defender tonight.

Donovan Mitchell was 0-for-6 with Herb as the closest defender."

Herb needs to at least be in the ROTY conversation.

Pretty good showing from Orlando rookies despite poor efficiency. Suggs second best player on the floor behind Siakam, not afraid, making play after play. Wagner also aggressive but struggling against very physical defense, still making great reads. They were both much better than Barnes who played scared.

Cade has really stepped up his game and is the frontrunner for ROY imo. Barnes and Mobley have both taken a step back. But to be honest I love all these guys. I think they are all great young players.
