Not in order

Giannis
Embiid
Jokic
Curry
Lebron
Harden
Luka
Kevin Durant

Who's grabbing the 9th and 10th spots?

Kawhi? Ja? Trae? Tatum? DeMar? Butler? Anyone else?

Idk what to make of Kawhi but he'd be my answer if he was fully healthy and resumed his previous level of play

Excluding Kawhi then I give it to Butler and Dame (not listed). Butler has to break out of his slump though because the others and maybe Gobert are breathing down his neck. Dame just has to get healthy again

i woukd limit it to guys who have actually played this season

No love for Chris Paul? His scoring might not be as eye popping as some of the others but his impact has definitely been top 10 this season.

I also don't think the top 10 is as clear as it was the previous few seasons. There is a pretty large group of players who could be in it. Besides Jokic, Giannis, Embiid and probably Curry I don't see any of the others really as locks for top 10.

You're not worried about Goberts huge dip in production or use case in the Playoffs? I thought the Clippers exposed his lack of dominance last season when they went small.

Unless you're just going by regular season ATM.

I don't, because Utah defensive problems were not related with Gobert.

yep. biggest myth in the nba is that utah's defensive issuses in the playoffs - especially in that clippers series were gobert related.

having said that, i still wouldn't put him in the top 10 best players, but i would put him in the top 10 most important/valuable to his own team. heck, i'd put him the top 5, perhaps top 3 in that category.

#1 Jokic
#2 Giannis
#3 Embiid
#4 Curry (Durant is around here too)
#5 Doncic
#6 LeBron
#7 Tatum
#8 Butler
#9 Harden
#10-12 Gobert/Mitchell/Morant

Of the mentioned in the OP, I have Tatum and Butler solidly in my top 10, with an argument for Morant. Young and DeRozan are next in line with others like Green, Towns and Paul.

Leonard is an unknown at this point, and so is Paul George. Lol @ Anthony Davis.

That's a hell of a top 20ish.
