Reggie Jackson cross Russ up so bad that he trips him . Then after the foul and the inbound switches onto him and milks a 3 in his and Lebrons face to go up by thirty.

It was like (shutters) so amazing.

We’re the dark horse here and we really need to avoid them until the ECF if we keep this play up in the post season.

Imagine if they get Nets in first round. Very likely to happen unless they catch Heat.

people said the same thing about the nets at this time last season. and they said the same thing about the lakers before this season started..

Idk about the sixers they seem good but still with thybulle out there it’s 4 on 5 just like with Simmons.

And if thybulles out then their defense is severely lacking. Can’t depend on fts and two perennial playoff under achievers.

Sixers fan here. Yes. Thybulle is annoying to us as Marcus smart is to you guys. But difference is Marcus smart can handle the ball and drive the rim. Thybulle can’t. It is playing 4 on 5 on offense. I would leave him open all game. Take chances he will miss 3 out of 4 three point shots all game long.

Sixers have a very rough March schedule. I could see them falling to the 4 or even 5 slot easily. But I don’t think they care. They haven’t look good in the first half of their last 3 games. Just winning on sheer talent in the second half. Perimeter defense has suck and embiid not challenging a lot of shots at the rim and allowing layups almost all night long Vs Cleveland

Even marcus is twice the shooter as thybulle he’s not really in the leave wide open category even tho he’s very streaky. All that said I still like thybulle he’s a monster defensively but still think he might hurt them come playoff time.

People were right about the Nets last year; they just got injured. Nets would had smoked everyone if they were healthy last year. The post you quoted said ‘if healthy’.

shoulda coulda woulda. Maybe the nets would have smoked everyone, maybe they wouldn't have. we'll never know for sure. what we do know is they got bounced in the second round..

Sixers and Heat play tonight but it looks like Harden is out for hamstring management, and then for Miami Lowry is out and probably Butler too. I think I had some kind of point when I started writing this but it's already gone.

Pops doing JRich dirty so far in San Antonio. Last 2 games, only getting in during the 2nd half and playing 7 and 6 minutes respectively.

Langford hasn't played yet for the Spurs either. I wish the trade could have been done without the pick swap but the talent upgrade is very real.

Too bad about the injuries/management in the Sixers-Heat matchup tonight; that might have been the first non-C's game I'd have watched this season.

There's an interesting storyline developing here around the following conventional wisdom: In order to win a title, you either need a top-5 player in the league or a guy who can be "the best player on a championship team." The Bucks (Giannis), Nets (Durant), and Sixers (Embiid/Harden) all have one of those guys. The Heat, Celtics, Bulls, and Cavs don't (finish reading before you fire up an argument about players(s) one of those teams). IMO, the lack of one of those players is why the Bulls and Cavs have fallen into the "nice story" category this season, but are ultimately expected to fade.

So, how could a team like the Heat or Celtics (or Bulls if you're a Derozan believer) reasonably beat one of the "Superduperstar" teams in a best of 7? First they could hope to be one of the very rare teams with a great coach and great ensemble cast that comes along each decade or two (i.e. 2004 Pistons). The other way would be to have a current player ascend to the "best player on a championship team" level during a title run. IMO, this is the position the Heat and Celtics are in. I guess that the Heat are taken more seriously as a contender right now because they have a proven coach and a great ensemble cast. However, I think Tatum has a better chance of ascending to the "Superduperstar" level during a series than Butler/Bam.

This is what I'm hoping for too. Feel bad for JRich, he was awesome for us this season and seemed to have rediscovered his Heat form, only to be banished midseason to a team that won't play him. Life comes at you fast in this league.

They're lost without their defensive anchor and offensive hub. Not much talent on that roster outside of Curry who hasn't shot well this season. Maybe Poole. Klay not all the way back. Kuminga is showing some promise but still too raw. Draymond is underrated as an amplifier. More than just your average glue guy.

Just looked at the box score. LeBron and Carmelo combined for 70 points, 18 rebounds ... and 4 assists.

Yeah, I know that exactly 80% of the combined points were by LeBron, but Carmelo's stat line was in the same spirit as LeBron's even so.
