If we select him, I’m curious what PG we could get for a package staring Randle ?

Core then of RJ / Cam / Grimes / Paolo needs a PG and a C

Bamba can stretch the floor enough to fit with Paolo and will be cheaper.

Randle should be able to net us a few picks or maybe combo of him and picks gets us a franchise PG (I just don’t know who)

I put this idea out there but maybe Anfernee Simons for Julius Randle in a sign and trade ? Simons is the perfect fit next to Rj and Lillard gets a new running mate. Im not sure if Portland or Simons would be interested in NY but it wouldn’t be a bad fit. A core of :

Simons
Grimes
Barrett
Reddish
Banchero

Would be pretty solid

With Kenny Atkinson as HC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They aren't trading Simons for Randle, and why would we draft Banchero if we got that pick? He's basically Randle

Biggest problem with Randle is his mentality. Ending up with Banchero in this draft at #4 or lower would be a W.

The problem is that we don't really need more mid-tier young players on the team. Unless we can bag a top 4-5 we should just push this pick forward another year and develop what we have in Grimes, Cam, Sims and McBride.

My gut tells me, this is IQ's last year here but the key will be Thibs and his status.

If we’re in the lottery there’s a good chance the player we get is more than mid-tier talent the Knicks problem is they never draft the correct player

Whether it’s passing on guards SGA, Donovan Mitchell, hailburton etc etc or passing up wings (Mikal bridges, miles bridges, Michael porter jr etc etc. the Knicks just never get it right

Yep true.
Will be interesting to see what Walt Perrin and staff can with a lottery pick.

Dyson Daniels from the NBA Global Academy in Australia?

He's the backcourt mate to the more heralded G-League Ignite and potential lottery pick Jaden Hardy. Daniels is a 6'6" PG/SG that has shown the ability to shoot from deep, defends and rebounds quite well, excels at reading the floor and making highlight reel passes. Has an NBA body already despite being just 18, long arms, big hands. He shot up a couple inches in the last year I believe so could be still growing? So he's in that SGA/Haliburton/Ball/Giddey (i.e. tall point) mold physically at least. His dad Ricky Daniels used to play college ball at NC State and played professionally in Australia. He's been kinda in the international scene since he was 14 and has a good deal of success. So there's that degree of knowing that he's been around the in's and out's of the professional game for awhile now. Currently projected as a mid to late 1st pick I believe but is a guy that could turn out to be that surprise type player in a couple years. With the ignite team roster, Daniels really hasn't had to do as much so that may allow him to slip a little in the draft which could make him a real good value pick wherever he's selected.

G League Ignite actually has 4 guys that are very interesting. Hardy, Daniels, Marjon Beauchamp (in the pic above cheering Daniels on) and Scoot Henderson.

Consider me thoroughly Impressed...traditionally the Knicks don't have the balls to draft this type of player.

Is it safe to say that Tyty in last years draft would be in the 25-30 range?

Think the range is debatable because it's more effected by need/fit the later you get. I think it's fair to say he's not in the same tier as most of last year's lotto pgs, and once they were off the board the next pg taken was Tre Mann at 18. So question would be do you think ty ty is better than Mann, if no he's falling into the 20s.

Havent looked at the prospects much yet but I will trade the pick for Dejounte I think if there is an opportunity like that, other guards look like backup material

Good game, his 3 ball needs to be working for him to be as effective as a driving threat. His potential size as a PG is noticeable. He’s not just tall, but muscular. If he can develop his handle further he could be a problem.

It’s hard to comp him online says Brogdon and Murray but those are both inaccurate. I actually think he can become what Killian Hayes was supposed to be, but Killian Hayes never actually became that. After watching him play next to Cade his potential as a on/off guard next to a more ball dominant guard is clear. A secondary ball handler who, who has floor general potential.

It’s a really good top 4 and a pretty good top 10 so let’s expect the Knicks to struggle to draft around 13

I think the top three will be Chet, Jabari, and Ivy. Paolo is looking like the worst of the top 4.

I got questions about TyTy’s athleticism and wiggle. But on the positive side dude might have the best touch in the whole draft. His middy and floater are just butter soft. Every time I try to talk myself out of him, I circle back cuz young players with offensive touch like that almost always translate. Even with run/jump athleticism concerns.

Just look at his makes. It almost always seems like it splashes the net. No humbles or rough bankers.

We might get lucky if this kid falls in our lap.

Dynamic athletic ability is overrated at the PG spot. He is not slow ot stiff. He actually has quicks. Sure its fun to have a Ja or Brodie or Young D Rose, but TyTy has it where it counts. In the BBIQ dept. Thats all that matters to me. He can score the rock pretty well even with his limited wiggle cause he has a very nice pull up game and floater as well. His pace is never frantic either like IQ is as well.

TyTy is being slept on heavy like MOST UK Guards in the draft, then they enter the NBA and people are like :o
95% of UK guards out play there draft positions.

No matter what Deuce or IQ do. They are not the PG prospects that he is. He actually knows how to play the position very well.

People who throw 17 dimes in a college game no matter who the opponent is, has game.

In Typical Knick Fan Fashion you will hear a bunch of Meh, then a Bunch of crying later next season when he is playing for someone else if we dont grab him.

ESPN has us taking Johnny Davis , BigTen POTY, at #7.

He’s played the PG/SG role for them this season, playing off ball as a spot up shooter / on ball as a scorer.

Drafting him wouldn’t be to solve the true PG role, but he’s somebody else that can create his own shot

Just gonna leave this here.

The things hes done at kentucky in his lone season so far. Is quite frankly incredible. Bc of how easily hes done it. Being from lexington ive followed this kid since high school. And ive watched him grow. So i can assure you whatever team passes on him in the draft will regret it. Bc he screams damian lillard 2.0.... And is just a winner flat out.! UK bous are just built and developed different. Calipari develops pros better then any other in history if you ask me. And in 1 season at that.! The track record is set in stone. You look at the league today and almost every young star under the age of the 32 is a calipari and KENTUCKY alum.! Over a billion dollars is NBA contracts in over about 10 years.! This kid is the next devin booker , jamall murray, shai gilgeous-alexander, tyler herro, tyrese maxey etc etc.
